About 20hrs in and absolutely in love. Huge map with alot to explore. i have always loved HM games and this has all the expected fun of a farmsim but with the added touch of it being more open-world. Looking forward to progressing through the storyline!

I rather enjoy the game. A note to those who grew up playing Harvest Moon like I did: It's a great game. I would not put it under the Harvest Moon name though. I started playing Harvest Moon on the PlayStation 1. This game feels more like a coziest possible Breath of the Wild kind of game.

There are fun places to explore, cute ways to save the Harvest Sprites. and more. If you take out the Harvest Moon expectations, you're more likely to enjoy the game. If you're looking for that nostalgic Harvest Moon vibe, Story of Seasons is what you're looking for. (Awkward, but true. IYKYK).

There is a good sized map and many different animals to collect - such as foxes, ferrets, tigers, jaguars, etc. alongside the ones we're used to. As many of the other reviews mention, this is not really based on farming. You get one spot to plant things in many different locations. Seeds in shops are random, not sorted by season like we're used to. You are more likely to get the seeds you need from the Sprites hanging around than in the seed shops (flower or crop).

With mining, you can get an idea of where ore or ladders could be. It is not consistent with which ore you receive. Falling rocks are kind of a pain, but if you move your camera angle to overhead, it helps. It does make a sound for more awareness (but that's not helpful if you're Deaf). Aiming for the center of the circle that shows on the map is usually best to quickly get the item without spending so much stamina.

To recap: Take out Harvest Moon from the name and your expectations and it's a rather enjoyable game. Go to Story of Seasons if you want that nostalgic Harvest Moon vibe (remastered with quality of life stuff added).

Awesome game to play. Very relaxing and addicting to play. Tons of things/quest to do. Definitely better than the original harvest moon games. Huge world map to go through gotta unlock each location to add it to your mapped area's. Large selection of fish types; fish being worth more money than farming produce, ie: dairy, wool, eggs and crops. Can tame wild animals and adopt them into your home also farm animals as well. The marriage selection is pretty good as well 5 males and 5 females to choose from. Getting their music notes were easy but can be challenging to marry if you don't upgrade your house 2x before the 3rd year. There is so much this game offers. I've only scratched the surface so far and I've really enjoyed playing this game the most out of all the harvest moon games. There are no dislikes about this game I am quite pleased with this game so far. I give this a 10 out of 10. I would definitely recommend this game, if you enjoy playing these types of games.
