Imamura's adventure "Omega 6" manga is available in English for the first time!

Based on the upcoming pixel-art adventure game Omega 6 The Triangle Stars, Dark Horse Comics presents Takaya Imamura's (Star Fox, F-Zero) Omega 6, a complete story in one manga volume. This will be available for English readers in October 2025. Translated by award-winning manga translator Zack Davisson (H.P. Lovecraft's The Colour out of Space, Cat + Gamer), the 16-bit video game revolution is coming to comics!

Creator Takaya Imamura had this to say about bringing the original manga to English readers in conjunction with the game. "I sincerely hope that my manga and games can be enjoyed by people regardless of where they live, and it would make me very happy if my work delivers an exciting and thrilling experience!"

In Omega 6:
After awakening from a rejuvenating months-long stasis, androids Thunder and Kyla are ready to spring back into bounty-hunting action! With the aid of some peculiar magic fruits, the pair enter a nearly invincible berserker state. However, there's a catch—once the effect wears off, they will age rapidly and become feeble until they can return to their recovery pods. Their current target, an assassin named Petrogaze, carries an appealing $300 million credit bounty on his head. The job seems easy: the duo plans to power up, bag the bad guy, and be home before dinner. But Petrogaze is much tougher than anticipated! Forced to consume their fruits early, the bounty hunters are suddenly on a life-or-death timer. Dinner's gonna have to wait!

Omega 6 is the latest game from the legendary Takaya Imamura. Imamura, who previously designed characters for F-Zero and Star Fox among many other projects, now invites us into a brand-new universe where humanity is searching for a new planet. Hi everyone! We’ve got two exciting announcements that we’d love to share with you all today!

We’re happy to bring you the very first gameplay footage of Gimmick! 2. The team has been hard at work putting our new trailer together, and we hope you’ll like it as much as we do.

The gameplay in the trailer represents the first two levels of the game, showing open fields inspired by Swedish Midsummer, cold, icy mountains, and caves filled to the brim with hot and deadly lava.

There’s plenty more to come, and we can’t wait to share further details about the game, the world, and its dangerous inhabitants in the upcoming months.

The composer behind the soundtrack for Yumetaro's latest game is none other than David Wise!

If you haven’t been sleeping in a hi-jinxed jungle for the last couple of decades, we’re talking about one of the most accomplished composers in the gaming world. He has been writing video game music since the '80s and is to thank for, among many others, the soundtracks of Donkey Kong Country, Yooka-Laylee, Battletoads, Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, and Diddy Kong Racing. Plus, he's a genuinely nice and warm-hearted person!

For Gimmick! 2, David has composed spirited new melodies and also fondly interpreted a couple of old classics. The soundtrack was creatively directed by Pelle Cahndlerby and recorded live in Sweden together with Joel Bille.

The game has been in development for several years and has existed as a thought and dream since the '90s when the original Gimmick! was released. In fact, Niklas Istenes founded Bitwave Games specifically with Gimmick! 2 in mind. Now, the dream has become a reality!
