Scoring explanation at end of hand?

Title score is the yaku, easy enough to understand, also the bonus tiles. What I don't understand is mission score, mission multiple, joker penalty and previous game draw. Mission Score: This rewards 2, 4, 8 points for each respective mission, yes? But what does x2 mission do? Does it multiply the reward for missions, or total hand score? Mission Multiple: This usually says x1 in the scoring panel at the end of hand, is this increased when you complete the x2 mission? Joker Penalty: If you have a joker ...
