The game is a bit to easy got i on my first try and after their was not much more content

Very cool idea for a chill game.
Played the game for many EA patches at this point (.73 currently).

Very bad execution.
(I would love to change this review one day.)


Starting relic power levels are insane think 1-100 when you need 1-10.
example get +2 hp for the first round (a round you cannot loose) or enchant a tower with +x/x every turn.
That's pretty dumb. but doesn't kill the game. a game needs bad relics for there to be good relics but this is crazy.

What destroys this game is complete lack of choice.
You gotta be Paul Atreides to see the narrow path for your win. You have to know your build by way early.
Then just play for it, you cannot pivot because you cant sell your towers, you can get ultra high cost removal tokens late. Early towers determine your build, not relics.

After you kill the first boss you can (cancel the reward loop you are playing the game for and) forgo a real reward from the boss and get much need tower removal tokens, feeling like a sucker after beating a boss. It was the weirdest feeling when i realized i was hoping not for powerful unique relics, I'm just hoping for tower removal and freeze tokens.

Not only should removing a tower not cost a freaking boss reward.
It should be something you get paid to do.
Tower cost 3 get 1 back.

You should be able to freeze shop tower at will as well.

A ton of people complain about power creep too. It's there level 1 lets call that a 100 [x] needed well level 2 is 25000 [x] needed. its wild.

I think it a lot of those complaints would be minimized if the game just let you play it. hard to tell with the power levels of so many things being so unbalanced.

Do I agree with most people that it is difficult to win in this game and sometimes it can be luck depended but for me it only adds to the pleasure. It provides me with a challenge and lets me keep on playing. i ended both main gameplay and I do admit that the second one can be challenging but I managed to win most of the challenges in the game. I thoroughly enjoy this one and cannot wait to play more
