a little confused how to pla

When I load into the game, Steam tells me it's not meant for a controller, but it clearly is so, weird disconnect there, but I'm getting stuck on how to do the combat. A for back doesn't do anything when promoted, I'm not sure what several things do. I've not played a game that handles like this so any tips on how to do stuff would be appreciated....

The controls are for a controller (which I do not have) and there is no list of equivalent for the PC

Weird name choice, nothing to do with the FPS Hexen?

Seems like an odd choice for naming a game when Hexen is a classic FPS game. This is also going to make searching for info about this a bit of a chore. When I search the web for 'hexxen' I still get Hexen the FPS in results.

there is one word which makes me wishlist this: Single-player!

I can't just watch the run for the next big, exploitable multplayer "experience" anymore - with a success Rate of 1:10! Dear developers: I know its gambling because if you succeed, you win BIG. but 9 out of 10 multiolayer games flop horribly and disappear within months! (including servers) so I am just thankful for every developer, who concentrates his creativity into delivering a satisfying single-player experience instead of a half-baked afterthought! thank you!...
