The Enhancement Update is Live!

Dear Cyber Tower Players,

We're excited to announce that the second major update for Cyber Tower is now live! This Major Update is packed with new content, gameplay improvements, and a better user interface, all designed to bring your Cyber Tower experience to the next level.

Explore the comprehensive list of changes below:

Two New Towers:

🔹 Anti-Air Tower: A specialized tower to counter aerial threats with devastating efficiency.
🔹 Damage Over Time Tower: This tower deals continuous damage based on the enemy's total health, providing a powerful tool for wearing down tough foes.

Three New Enemies:

🔹 Aerial Semi-Tank: An aerial unit with high durability that spawns a smaller, disruptive drone upon destruction, adding an extra layer of challenge to your strategy.
🔹 Rapid Ground Motorcycle: A fast, low-health enemy that smooths the early waves and enhances difficulty progression.
🔹 Annoying Insect Drone: A pesky new drone that accelerates briefly upon being spawned, requiring quick thinking to handle its sudden burst of speed before it slows down again.

Improved Menus and Infohub:

🔹 Map Preview: You can now preview the map of each mission, allowing you to plan your strategy in advance.
🔹 User-Friendly Navigation: We’ve polished the interface to make it more intuitive, ensuring smoother navigation for all players.

Gameplay Balancing:

🔹 Tower Balancing: Tweaked tower stats to enhance effectiveness against all enemy types.
🔹 Wave Adjustments: Rebalanced waves now feature the new enemies, creating a smoother difficulty curve with fresh challenges.

This update represents the most polished and complete version of Cyber Tower yet, staying true to our original vision. While this is likely the last major update, we remain committed to delivering minor fixes and improvements to ensure the best gameplay experience.

I’m incredibly grateful for your support and feedback throughout this journey. For those who don’t know, ANGLE has always been a one-person team—at least for now. Developing Cyber Tower has been a solo adventure, but thanks to you, it never felt like one. This project has been an incredible learning experience, and as ANGLE moves forward, exciting new challenges are already in the works. The Enhancement Update is Coming

Dear Cyber Tower Players,

We’re excited to announce that the second major update for Cyber Tower is coming this January, with a scheduled release date of January 6th! This update is the result of our efforts to enhance the game and address community feedback, bringing it to a state we're truly proud of. A complete list of changes will also be shared in the final update announcement.

💡 What’s New in the Enhancement Update?

🔹 Two New Towers: Expand your strategies with two powerful new towers.
🔹 Three New Enemy Types: Prepare for fresh challenges with enemies that bring new dynamics to the battlefield.
🔹 Improved Mission Menu and Infohub: We’ve polished the interface to make it more intuitive and user-friendly for a pc user.

This update brings Cyber Tower to a more complete form, offering a polished and enjoyable experience within its intended scope.

💡 Want a sneak peek?

For those eager to explore the update early, we’ve made a preview version available! To access it:

1. Go to your Steam library and right-click on Cyber Tower.
2. Select “Properties,” then navigate to the “Betas” tab.
3. Choose the option “enhancement - validation”.
(If you don’t see this option, try signing out and restarting the Steam client)

💡 Important Notes for Beta Testing

To ensure a smooth experience, follow these steps:

1. If you're in the middle of a playthrough, back up your save file. You can find the save file in: C:\Users\[your_user]\AppData\LocalLow\ANGLE\Cyber Tower
(Replace [your_user] with your Windows username).
2. Test the beta: All stages will be unlocked for testing.
3. Delete beta saves: After testing, clear any save data created during the beta. This ensures the progression system works correctly when returning to the main version. Following these steps ensures your original game progress remains intact.

Mega Update Available!

Dear Cyber Tower Players,

We're thrilled to announce that the first major update of Cyber Tower is now live! This Mega Update is dedicated to enhancing your gameplay experience, with a particular focus on stage design. Additionally, a significant improvement includes the classification of enemies into ground and aerial categories, adding a new layer of strategic depth to the game.

Stage Redesign:We've completely overhauled the game's stages (missions). Each mission has been meticulously redesigned and tested to offer a more engaging and unique experience. The traditional large square blocks, once scattered across the map, now serve as a complement, allowing players to create their own intricate paths. At the beginning of each stage, players are presented with a unique puzzle to solve, adding an extra layer of challenge and intrigue. Furthermore, in the final stages of each environment, players will encounter larger and more challenging puzzles, providing a thrilling climax to each area.

Enemies Evolution:Enemies are now classified as ground and aerial, and we've introduced a new enemy type: the drone. Towers have been adjusted to account for this distinction, making your gameplay strategy more dynamic and challenging. Additionally, the number of waves has increased significantly based on mission complexity, promising a more thrilling and action-packed journey.

Graphical Enhancements:We've made significant graphical improvements, including the addition of shadows and more detailed and varied environments. Plus, we've introduced special nighttime stages available at the end of each environment, adding an extra layer of challenge and excitement.

Audio Improvements:Enjoy a richer audio experience with a wider variety of music tracks tailored to different environments, along with new menu music.

40 Unique Levels: Explore a variety of 40 unique levels, each with distinct challenges.
Single, Double, and Triple Routes: Tackle maps with single, double, and triple routes, requiring different strategies.

Mega Update Coming

Dear Cyber Tower Players,

We're excited to announce that the first major update of Cyber Tower is coming in June! The scheduled release date is June 3rd. This update brings an exciting redesign of the game's stages (missions), which have been redone from scratch and tested one by one, providing a more engaging and unique experience for each one. The missions are no longer just large square blocks scattered across the map. Instead, they now feature puzzle routes containing smaller blocks that require strategic solutions, in addition to the traditional blocks.

Additionally, enemies have been classified as ground and aerial, and a new enemy type (drone) has been added. Towers have been adjusted to consider this distinction, making the gameplay strategy more dynamic and challenging. Furthermore, the number of waves has significantly increased according to mission complexity, promising an even more thrilling and action-packed journey.

Moreover, graphical enhancements now include shadows, and environments are more detailed and varied. As an exciting new feature, special nighttime stages will be available at the end of each environment, adding an extra layer of challenge and intrigue. Alongside this, audio improvements introduce a wider variety of music tracks tailored to different environments.

Now, we're offering players who already own the game the exclusive opportunity to experience a preview of this update firsthand. To access this exclusive preview of the update, simply follow these steps: go to your Steam library, right-click on Cyber Tower, select 'Properties,' and navigate to the 'Betas' tab. Then, choose 'big_update-validation.' If this option is not available, simply restart the Steam client.

Note: Notably, all stages in the beta version of the update are unlocked, facilitating comprehensive testing across all levels without the need to unlock them individually. Additionally, a detailed list of changes will be provided with the final announcement of the update.

We're thrilled to unveil this new regular update for Cyber Tower, with a primary focus on a new feature: Focus Target Selection, UI and Camera Adjustments. Your feedback has been invaluable, guiding us in refining various gameplay elements within Cyber Tower. The new version is crafted for a more intuitive gaming experience, especially in the areas of user interface and target selection. Explore the comprehensive list of changes below:

FOCUS TARGET SELECTION:

Towers now have 4 focus target options for more tactical actions
(nearest to exit, weakest, strongest, and nearest).
The default focus is now set to prioritize targets closest to the exit.

UI:

Comprehensive resizing of menus and buttons for a streamlined visual experience.
Introducing mouse hover functionality to show the tower range.
New target selection button on towers.

CAMERA:

Boundaries of camera movement expanded.
Camera starts at the beginning of the road.
Camera zoom angle adjusted for smother transitions.

BUG FIXES:

Resolved the issue of fast forward not resetting after restarting a level.

TOWERS:

The variety of towers in the early levels has been expanded.
The value of the Wave Destroyer tower has been increased to balance the difficulty.
Wave Destroyer can no longer be placed outside the main grids.

ENEMIES:

A greater variety of enemies is now noticeable in the early levels.
Waves have been restructured to ensure a progressively increasing level of difficulty.
(Hint: To accelerate waves, simply hold down the F key)

LEVELS:

Level designs have been revamped with additional grids, enhancing the range of tactical and strategic options.
