What an incredible honor! While the main prize went to Mainframe's incredible Pax Dei, we're really thrilled we were close in second. We won over companies like Supercell, Fingersoft and Ranela - who are really strong contenders!

Supermoves is unfortunately still at risk for being delisted from Steam. We're negotiating the best we can to make sure this wouldn't happen, but we're still in talks and as the situation is very fluid, we can't give any dates or guarantees at this time. While this bittersweet news is a bit tragic after just announcing we've shut down operations, the team is ecstatic and very happy to hear that we're getting such critical acclaim.

To keep you informed (as promised), I've compiled a small FAQ here based on all your questions so far, but as said, the situation is fluid and stuff is subject to change. Don't treat this as a bible - this situation is ongoing, things might change rapidly.


I have only a vague idea on what's gonna happen with Supermoves. I've been in many talks with lawyers, IP people and experts - but I don't have a concrete answer yet. We've been informed that the company won't be able to go down without a bankruptcy (a random bill will eventually default and probably cause us to go under automatically, in the future).

There will most likely be some sort of a bankruptcy auction; but I've been informed that the Supermoves IP will include a sizable "pay this amount" requirement on top of the IP rights, so what we're looking at is something called an "IP Hell", for the lack of a better word.

This would mean it is incredibly hard or time consuming to ever be able to relist Supermoves, as long as that requirement exists. I wish I could elaborate further, but negotiations are ongoing.

This is why I'm informing you early that this might happen, and with the situation, will most likely cause the delisting of Supermoves and its online features in the near future.


There's probably going to be a demand we stop selling Supermoves on the Steam store in the future. This will also sadly mean that the online services for Supermoves will be shut down in the future.

As of this moment (April 28th 2025) online services and the full gameplay experience of Supermoves and Supermoves Freerun is still available. Get a few buddies on, build a few levels and run a few tournaments for old times sake, while you still can!


If I had to hazard my best guess; a few months from now. That's the best I can do at this point to tell you, since we're not the ones calling the shots in a shutdown situation like this. I do not know for sure and I wouldn't take this as gospel, as the situation is fluid and may cause a minor "company limbo" for a long time, should these things drag on.

I also don't want to make this any kind of a FOMO moment where if you've been eyeing this game that you'd have to take the plunge right now. If you want Supermoves, the best time to buy it is right now, as I'm unable to tell you when I'll be told I'd have to pull the plug. It might be a month from now or a year from now, but a delisting is very likely, pending an actual miracle.


Yes, Supermoves features an entirely singleplayer Career Mode that features most levels from the multiplayer with bots to run against, and even a bit of a Tony Hawk's -like story to boot. It's got hours and hours of fun gameplay and you don't want to miss out on it.

The online features that will stop functioning if we have to shut down services are:

• Online playlists
  
• The Makea Editor
  
• Progression
  
• Leaderboards
  
• Explore Menu and the user-created levels over there

You can still get all the Steam achievements. I think one of them might require online, but I'll just delete it if it comes to that (the Makea Editor one).

If I could manage to somehow wrangle the IP rights to Supermoves, I could host the servers in a shoebox. The actual matchmaking is done using Steamworks, but the backend (Azure Thundernetes) requires its own thing that has to be hosted offsite - which is the thing that's gonna go under with the company, due to server bills.

There's a thousand reasons why I can't offer you a solution that lets you host your own online stuff. The short of it is GDPR with existing users and levels in the database. The long of it is there's nobody at the company anymore except me handling things, and it's unrealistic to think I'd be able to help engineer a solution to that. For that, I'm really sorry.


Yes, I've scheduled upcoming discounts to be the best we've had yet. Please grab Supermoves, it's a great game (and now critically acclaimed!) - the price we have now is already juicy - but be aware if you're waiting for a discount you might unfortunately find the game getting its store page delisted in the future.

Due to this complicated situation I'm not able to add additional discounts on top of what we've already scheduled (nor announce dates), but the game will be significantly discounted in the near future. Thank you for understanding.

I'll add a notice when and if we have to shut down the online services, so future players are adequately informed.


That was my initial plan when I realized we were going to have to close down the company, but I've been informed that there's some terms which would make it very (VERY) expensive to get Supermoves in any way to myself or to another company. Whoever wants to get the game would have to pay a significant sum on top of the IP rights. It's pretty unrealistic anybody would do that, considering the state of things.

Negotiations are still ongoing and I'll of course relay to you if there's good news and I can keep Supermoves up and the servers running. But I'm being very realistic here that it is very unlikely.


I've been answering your many questions in the comments of the last news post and I thank you very much for all the well wishes. It's a tough situation and we appreciate your kindness in hard times. The team has been overwhelmed with support and I really appreciate your understanding. This isn't what we wanted to happen, but sometimes indie games are a gamble, and it is what it is.

I'll keep you posted, the game discounted and hopefully somewhere in the future I can say what I'll be working on next. But to close this off, I'll do everything in my power to try and make sure Supermoves gets enjoyed for years to come, even if it will take me years to do so.

Here's my favorite picture of the Makea Games founding team, from back in 2022. That skate ramp was amazing for a backdrop. I wish we took more pictures of the entire development team. I hope everyone from the team lands okay, since we all poured our hearts into this and I truly cherish the time we had together.

Dear runners,

It's with a heavy heart I'm announcing we're winding down our game studio Makea Games.

Some folks have noticed we've been keeping updates going on for Supermoves regardless - and we've been happily discounting and adding new levels and cosmetics to the game. Behind the scenes, we were working on a PvE horde shooter called Superstrike that used the Makeaverse engine with customizable weapons, enemies and levels, which unfortunately didn't find its footing in time.

It's been an incredibly tough time in the game industry and the global economic effects have been hitting us particularly hard. We worked on Supermoves, Superstrike and the Makea Editor for north of three years, with over 20 employees contributing to make it the best it could be.

Despite all our efforts, we didn't manage to find an audience for Supermoves: World of Parkour that would have been sustainable long term for the future of the company. And it's understandable - with the low amount of players in multiplayer we saw many players were disappointed to find empty lobbies.

Despite all of this, we were really proud to find very positive reviews, over 50 000 players trying the game out and a whopping 800 user made levels and remixes. This game is very much a passion project, near and dear to all our hearts, and it's devastating to have to announce this.

As this is an ongoing, fluid situation, we cannot guarantee online upkeep for Supermoves: World of Parkour. The game has fully offline features, such as the singleplayer Career Mode, which will still function without an internet connection to our servers.

As we're still negotiating rights and the future of Makea Games' IP, assume these features will go offline in the near future:

• Online multiplayer playlists
  
• Makea Editor
  
• Explore Menu and user-created levels
  
• Leaderboards
  
• Online lobby system, progression and challenges

We'll let you know beforehand with an advance notice if we have to wind these online features down. Your game will still be in your Steam library and you will still be able to access the entire singleplayer portion of Supermoves, including Steam achievements and Career Mode levels.

This is not the news anyone of us wanted to share and we're all still very much in a state of grieving, but I'll do my best to keep you updated on the future of Supermoves: World of Parkour on Steam.

In the new Supermoves: World of Parkour Fit Check Update, we've added all the cosmetics we've had in the closet into the game. That's over a 100(!) new cosmetics, including hats, gloves, shoes and more.

In addition, three new Loot levels enter Supermoves where you get to grind a rollercoaster, do sick tricks over a gnarly skate park and brave a thunderstorm on a rooftop construction site. Let's get to it!


It's a rainy night in Freestyle City, Singapore as you dash through themed rooftops ranging from a construction site all the way to a duck-themed trampoline park! Optimize your route carefully to gain the advantage.


Grind your way through this gnarly skate park where every millisecond will count. How fast can you collect the SUPER letters strewn about - and can you beat our time of only 13 seconds? Master the wallrun to beat the odds.


The fan favorite level from the Career Mode makes a dashing entry into the Featured multiplayer playlists, with improved spawns and additional routes to traverse the great tower. Collect the SUPER letters as fast as you can to earn the trophy. Use the new routes to gain an edge on the competition.

Good news, runners! You can now enable NVIDIA DLSS4 with Multi Frame Rendering inside the new NVIDIA App. Here's how.


1) Open the NVIDIA App[www.nvidia.com] and go to "Graphics". You may need to update your display driver to the latest version.

2) Add the Supermoves executable "GYMGAME.exe" to the App. You can find the game's folder inside Steam by right-clicking Supermoves and selecting "Browse local files" under "Manage".

3) Navigate to "DLSS Override - Models Preset" and choose "Latest".

This will override Supermoves' DLSS version with DLSS 4 - and you're ready to roll!

The game looks and performs better than ever on this new tech, so please try it out and tell us what you think. Supermoves also featured other upscaling technology - including AMD's FidelityFX and a built-in TAA option with render scaling.

Did you know Supermoves is available in a whopping 10 languages?

That's right, the game has been from the start translated into:

We're always looking to attract more players, so we rebranded a tiny 🤏 bit. The game will remain absolutely the same frontflipping experience, but we're now called Supermoves: World of Parkour!

The subtitle "World of Parkour" is translated to the languages above. Same game, (almost) same name. Our best marketing priests told us that this might help people find the game easier on Steam. It also really reflects the journey you go on in the game, with all the 10 environments you'll master to get to the Supermoves championships!

All this Duolingo is about to pay off!

We don't want to redecorate your precious Steam libraries, so the change is mostly visible on the Steam Store page (and if you're running Steam localized into one of the languages above) - rest assured, Supermoves is still Supermoves, through and through - no in-game changes here.

Wanna know how Supermoves came about? Here's a great video where they interview me with the folks from Servers.com who helped us launch Supermoves! This was filmed just a week before release. Note that the new character models mentioned didn't come to pass, but we did add the cosmetic pack in Supermoves Forever instead.

We left a slight mistake in the options menu that we just hotfixed. Lumen on "Epic" was actually Lumen on "Cinematic" quality, destroying your frame rate if you tried to run Lumen quality at maximum settings. Cinematic settings on Unreal Engine are meant for shooting actual movies...oopsie! The setting is now rightfully capped to its gameplay limits.

If you really want to, you can find the config files and force it back on (turn all the settings to "4") if setting fire to your gaming PC is your thing, we won't judge. Everything else seems to be running smoothly.

A Supermoves Hotfix is now available!

Patch Notes for January 9th 2025 hotfix:

- Fixed regression causing Steam achievements to not be unlocked by some players. Once you start Supermoves or Supermoves Freerun, you should be retroactively granted any achievements you have unlocked.
- Fixed rare crash that happened when finishing a Tournament or Marathon playlist
- Bug fixes and performance improvements
