Everything was great until today when i read the EULA. In this sense they are basically saying you do not own this game and can take it away at any time, which in a sense can be illegal as well as changing the Eula and frankly i'm now very much disgusted with Red Hook for such action so good job to them, you painted a massive target on yourself

I wish I could do a 'neutral' or 'needs improvement' ranking but I can't. Darkest Dungeon 2 IS FUN but is a step back from the first in many ways.
Fewer dungeons
No consistent characters
No base building
The dungeons are just too few, and you'll feel the lack of variety after about an hour or two. Your characters are wiped after a failed run, a successful run is very difficult to do because dungeon runs are 1 of 6 levels rather than various missions to get to a boss, and if you cancel an expedition all characters are reset and items are lost. The system of slowly improving a settlement and seeing it visually become more of a thriving village that was in darkest dungeon 1, is gone. It sucks because 2 is definitely an improvement in some ways, but there's so many areas where content was just removed that it feels like a step down. One thing I really dislike is that each 'expedition' is inherently a run from the beginning to the end, meaning you don't have your characters slowly becoming veterans from multiple runs in the dungeon, instead you either win the whole round or everyone dies. You also can't upgrade your hero's equipment like in the first, instead all upgrades are through levelups and carrying relic items, but that was already in the first game.
A huge shame, because what this game gets right it does very well and it can be very fun. I very much hope the stuff that was removed from 1 is added back in somehow.

Darkest Dungeon II = G.R.I.N.D

... and it gets real boring as you desperately grind your way up.
