can someone please explain the vase puzzle? My friend and I are playing this together and neither of us can understand how it works. We looked up a video that shows the answer but we still don't understand how they came up with that solution.

The book of examples for symbols to represent CCE, FLM, MTZ, etc is prefaced with a letter that says he sent another letter explaining the system. It seems like there's too little information in just the examples to work it out without that letter, but I haven't found it. If it's in the toolbox with the light bulb puzzle, I haven't found all the light bulbs, rather I've only found 2 big ones, 1 small one, and 1 cylindrical one and they don't all fit.
