I wish I can recommend this. I grew up on the PS1 and get huge breath of fire vibes from this. But while the art direction is great the rest of the game fails to live up to the potential.

A very weak story with ok world building. A forgettable cast. And dull combat system that moves far too slowly. Just overall a speed up button is very much needed. But even then it wouldn't save it from just being....boring.

I don't like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on developers. Especially on indie ones. I wish them all the success. But this game was a pretty huge disappointment for me.

Interesting and fun game. Combat mechanics are a bit on the simple side, which for me is a plus. The demo is extremely generous so check it out if you're not sure. One note - immediately after loading, the game flashes up a screen saying "a controller is recommended to play this game" - not having one, I kept going with keyboard and mouse and had absolutely no problem playing the game to completion.
