Update

■ The appearance and color of the crosshair can now be changed.
■ A limit has been set on the number of button presses during aim misses. (It has almost no impact on normal play unless you continuously mash the button.)

Aim Climb Map 2 will be released in late March. It will not be postponed unless I die.
I had been away from creation last year due to personal reasons, so I hope to release many games and other works this year. I am also thinking of uploading materials for games on X and possibly creating a simple browser game soon, so if you're interested, check it. :)

It's been a while. Now that various preparations are in place, I would like to report to you. As for Aim Climb Map2, I plan to release it around late March, close to the third anniversary, along with the divided subspecies that occurred during its production.

First, let me briefly explain that subspecies.

I named it "AMNYAM," which has a cute feel to it. To put it simply, it's a more casual Aim Climb. (Multiplayer is also possible!) It is also a part that was divided during the production of Aim Climb Map2.

What is division? During the production of Aim Climb Map2, I became very attached to it and was filled with the desire to add new features and make adjustments to the Aim Climb system to create a more casual experience with various ways to play. However, I also had a strong desire to maintain a consistent concept throughout the work, and I hesitated to change the direction from a hardcore concept.

Therefore, I decided to split the production concept into two and fundamentally branch out how I want to continue Aim Climb, including future policies.
These are the casual concept "AM NYAM" and the hardcore concept "Aim Climb Map2." I will release them around late March simultaneously.

I hope casual gamers will definitely enjoy "AMNYAM" as a continuation! I researched and created it so that players can enjoy the flow of "Aim's skill test" → "New gimmick operation check" → "Practice," gradually increasing the difficulty with each stage. NPCs also exist, enhancing the adventure elements.


Hardcore gamers, please look forward to "Aim Climb Map2." Oh, be prepared.
Since it is a stage unlocked after clearing Map1, the structure is designed with the assumption that you have the basics to climb.
(I would be happy if you could also check out AM NYAM! The highest difficulty is quite challenging.)

The music is created with particular attention to match the atmosphere of the stages. Since the cave concept has been abandoned, there are more up-tempo songs. I also tried using live drum sounds. Stay tuned.

AMNYAM and Aim Climb Map 2 will be released on a different date. The reason for the delay is that I am the only support person for Aim Climb Map2, so bug fixes and other support will be out of order. (I was up all night when Aim Climb was released...) Aim Climb Map2 will be released around late March.AM NYAM may be warmed up a little. I will let you know as soon as it is decided.

Now, here is some supplementary information. I will explain the differences in the AMNYAM system.

AMNYAM is designed to cater to casual gamers, focusing on having many users play outside the game and minimizing elements that lead to a rapid increase in difficulty within the game. Below are some examples.

Multilingual Support
Aim Climb is composed of handwritten characters and some digital characters, making multilingual support extremely difficult as elements increase. (Especially handwritten characters)
Therefore, AM NYAM has completely transitioned to digital characters and has fully adopted a system that incorporates prepared external data files. (This is what I wanted to do the most by separating the games.)
This allows for multilingual support, enabling more users to recognize the text, and as an extension of that, NPCs exist. Various characters will speak!

Elimination of Screen Transitions During Stage Changes
Aim Climb is designed to load stages in small segments, and the skills required for those transitions significantly raise the difficulty curve. I enjoy the thrill of lightly grasping the layout of the next area or requiring quick flick aiming, but it is not very casual. Therefore, in AM NYAM, I have abolished this, and the same stage will be loaded all at once, with the transition to the next stage warping to the platform of that stage. (Aim Climb Map2 will naturally follow the Aim Climb system, so be prepared.)

Multiplayer!
This was part of the initial concept for Aim Climb, but I gave up due to a lack of technical skills. In AM NYAM, I am focusing on code work with multiplayer in mind, such as making the target's movement coordinate-controlled. (Aim Climb uses speed control. Due to the influence of delay correction, there is a possibility of position shifting, so I would like to transition to coordinate control in future updates for Aim Climb as well. However, since it may affect RTA players who compete for time by repeatedly playing the game (thank you for playing a lot), I want to carefully transition and revert as much as possible while discussing with them to ensure the position does not change too much.)
I also plan to implement or add a mini-game-like competitive mode in updates.
Since multiplayer is an unfamiliar technology, I would like to keep AM NYAM in early access and gradually refine it while exchanging opinions with users.

There are many small differences, such as the existence of items.

This is a small update for AimClimb.

AimClimb was designed with mouse control in mind, but I've made a few changes to the movement of objects to make it more route-oriented and more enjoyable to repeat.

The changes are as follows

The target moves when clicked and is a high difficulty target that requires flick-aim, but with this update I have fixed the pattern of where the target moves to so that players who are not good at flicking the mouse or players who value repeatability can play along.
If you keep in mind that the first flick will always go to the bottom left, this will make it a little easier to aim on the fly.
(It's a loop: bottom left, top right, top left, bottom right, left, right, down, up).

The lelele-like moves right to left and left to right, but I made a pattern of simple movements.
The movement was a little awkward when the movements were all the same, so only the cycle was shifted by -0.1 to +0.1 seconds depending on the location.
　　

Occasionally, the lelele target would leave the flowing waterfall, escape the effect of the waterfall and stop moving downwards, often lagging behind the cycle of the flowing target. Therefore, the risk of this misalignment was eliminated by constantly reflecting the effect of the waterfall.

These are four points.
I will design the upcoming new map with an emphasis on mouse operation, but also with an emphasis on reproducibility.

New stages, new gimmicks, new targets, new BGM, etc.

Also, as a game clearing remedy, I would consider implementing checkpoints!

This is a remedy for players who want to complete the story on their own, so when using checkpoints, the STEAM achievement will not be unlocked upon completion.

Also, I plan to set a limit on the number of times a player can complete a checkpoint, since the thrill of falling should not be lost.
I will make adjustments after repeated trial runs.
