A really great game with some unfortunate warts in places.
For my own experience I wasn't too into the game when I started and really started not enjoying myself around world 3.
It's hard to replay levels because some can take up to 8 minutes to complete which can be a real pace breaker and get pretty exhausting, especially when you find out you missed one item and you have to replay the whole stage to get it.
The biggest issue however has to be that sometimes the game can be too cluttered with visual information that it becomes hard to tell what's going on and I had a few instances where I got hit by something I felt wasn't telegraphed well enough for me to react to.

With that out of the way oh my gosh, this game is absolutely brimming with charm and personality.

It wasn't until after I beat the game that the quality really started to dig into my head after I shut the game off I couldn't stop thinking about it and I think i'm a fan now lmao.

The characters are really entertaining to watch, where even if a joke isn't hitting the delivery and characterisation still carry it.

While levels can be long I'm impressed by just how diverse they can be, I never really felt bored playing a level and it usually does a pretty good job keeping the level engaging usually being split up into two main gimmicks.

as I said after really not enjoying the third world, the stages right after were actually some of the most fun for me I actually really liked the set up for both of them and they both felt really engaging.

Antonblast is an almost perfect homage to not just Warioland, but also DKC and Crash Bandicoot, with a whole new universe of cartoon characters to fall in love with.

Just avoid Combo-Mode and TT mode like the plague. I'm sorry, but those gamemodes are the most half-baked Crash-4-IAT-tier ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to ever be implemented in this thing that completely goes against Antonblast's design philosophy of reckless exploration, and it's a bigger sin that playing them is required for 100% completion.

That's about the only bad thing I'll say about this game. Other than that, it's a badass platformer best played casually.
