I am just unsure how to '"win" this fight... As much as I enjoy this game, I am getting impatient with going through all the dialogue again each time I fail this fight... Any tips on how to beat the boss would be appreciated!

Could there be anything more hiding in the branching paths of this game? After seeing the hauntedps1 interview with the Dev I went through most of the game picking all the hidden dialogue choices with "C" which was lovely, although after getting all 5 endings I didn't find any use for 2 of the keys (maybe im stupid) or if the music box triggered anything in game (maybe im too speculative)...
