How Do I Aquire the key to open it?

i have finish some quest and got the reward but..the journal is not update?? Developer any comment? so far i like the story line and side quest only problem is the quest are not updated in the journal what happen?

I cannot find the Elven boyfriend of the villager in Timberg. He's supposed to be in "Lost Woods" but where is Lost Woods in first place?

I am finding the game enjoyable; however, I'm not too crazy about the fact I can't control my movements into various areas. For instance in the mine a side quest says to find 5 gel explosives, but I have only run across 4 before I challenge the dragon. Once you either kill the dragon or you have Ito steal the fell piece, you can't return. I'd like to know if anyone has figured out a way around this dilemma? Thanks in advance....

Is there a handbook or something? How do I save a game etc.?
