Demon Turf Queen's Edition upgrade

By royal decree, Demon Turf has been upgraded to the Queen's Edition!

What does this mean we hear you ask? It means we've packaged our previously standalone game Demon Turf: Neon Splash with Demon Turf's DLC Demon Turf: Tower and the Level Editor into the ultimate package of demon-y goodness.

It gets better... Anyone who already purchased Demon Turf before this update gets all these extra goodies for FREE!

So what are you waiting for? Dive into Demon Turf and see where Beebz's antics take you :)

FAQ

Does this update come with any pricing changes?

The upgrade to Queen's Edition increases the game's price from 25$ to 30$ for any future purchases as the game's content has nearly doubled since launch. This upgrade, and its new content, is free for anyone who has bought the game before today.

What if I bought Neon Splash before?

Before today Demon Turf and Neon Splash were sold separately as stand-alone titles. The Queen's Edition combines both games into one. If you are buying Demon Turf Queen's Edition, this means you do not need to buy Neon Splash separately. If you already have Neon Splash in your Steam library you can purchase the Queen's Edition for 17% off.

What if I already bought Demon Turf before?

If you already own Demon Turf, you don't need to do anything. You'll also have access to Neon Splash from the launch window.

DO NOT BUY NEON SPLASH IF YOU ALREADY OWN DEMON TURF.

How do I access all of the new content?

The game now has a fancy launcher allowing you to pick which game to play! Demon Turf, Demon Turf Neon Splash or Demon Turf Tower. Don't worry, this works seamlessly with any gamepad as well as on the Steam Deck!

Will the console versions get the same upgrade?

Unfortunately not due to technical reasons. The level editor heavily relies on Steam's online services. Neon Splash & Tower are separate applications which one can't bundle in a launcher on consoles. We are happy to report, however, that the Neon Splash standalone version is also launching on EGS & GoG today in addition to being available on the Nintendo Switch already.

Are y'all working on a new game yet?

Heck yes. It's huge, ambitious and BEAUTIFUL... Any Demon Turf fan will be unbelievably excited about where we're taking the Expressive Platformer genre next. It is, undoubtedly, the most excited I've ever been for one of our games and I can't wait to show it off more! BUT... We need more time in the kitchen and sincerely ask y'all to let us cook for a bit longer! <3

About the campaign

The campaign starts today, 29th May 2023, to 19th June 2023 and to make sure the plush is fully funded we need to smash 200 pre-orders.

Your Steam key for Demon Turf will be sent to you after the campaign has ended. Additionally, once the private beta for Fabraz's next unannounced game is up and running you'll receive an invitation to join.

We have an exciting announcement of the plushie variety... yes that's right, we have an exclusive campaign collaboration with Makeship to transform Beebz into a plush!

The Demon Queen has her staple sour frown that we all know and love.

Side profile with some sneaky side-eye.

Horns or the latest in-style hairdo? Or both? It's gotta be both.

The miniature bench isn't included, but Beebz would take a great edition sitting on your shelves.

The campaign launches next week on Monday 29th May 2023 and will be available until 19th June 2023.

1.0.1 introduces a few fixes and QoL additions!

Leaderboards: Times are now correctly displayed in the friends tab.
Leaderboards: Remix is now displayed in the level name.
Leaderboards: Mods don't show up incorrectly on some entries anymore.
Shop: Fixed a typo on the purchase pop-up.
Diving: You can no longer accidentally enter a dive state in the water.
Camera Zoom: Your zoom level is now remembered after a reset.
Volumetric Fog: Turning it off now no longer errantly rings it back randomly.
Mod Dyes: You can now toggle dyes triggered by mods off in the settings.
Crumbling Tower Level: Adjusted kill collider to avoid errant deaths.

Compete in this any% Demon Turf: Neon Splash speedrunning contest for your chance to win first place.

Start flexing those fingers and read the full contest details can be found below.

Rules and tips:
- The run must be submitted between April 14th 2022 and May 14th 2022.
- You must record or stream your run and submit it to Twitter, Discord[discord.gg] or speedrun.com.
- Any % time starts on the first cutscene and ends of level 10's win menu.
- Your completed in-game Any% time is viewable from the title screen once achieved.
- All platforms are allowed to participate, in-game any% disregards loading times.
- Edited runs are not permitted but you can resubmit as often as you'd like.
- Must have PayPal to receive prize money.
- We recommend turning off cut scenes and enabling the game timer in the settings.
- You can reset your save data in the settings.

Collecting all the sweets in a level and hidden vinyl unlocks 10 more remixed levels, but don’t be fooled! These remix levels are expertly crafted to be entirely new levels with brand new challenges. Bring your platforming A-game!
