The Adventure of Rikka is a top down 2D action RPG with a focus on puzzles, exploration, secrets and collectibles. You must defeat the dark forces that has cursed the lands, fight enemies using your sword and an arsenal of items such as the bow and fire wand and save the kingdom!

Controls?

Why is the game designed only for left handed people? Should the arrow keys and enter key not be possible to use for movement and interaction? The WASD/ Space Bat format (with mouse???) is extremely awkward. The game seems excellent and I would love to play, but the controls are counter intuitive to almost every other game of its type. I understand that the arrow keys would be a problem if the mouse is used ---- but why the mouse at all? Very disappointed to see this set up. This configuration makes it a...

If you’ve been jonesing for that 2D Zelda feel, look no further.

The overworld is vast and diverse, with tons of collectibles and side-quests that will allow you to upgrade your character. Some of these collectibles were exceptionally well hidden. You’ll really have to use your noggin to find them.

The dungeons are great! There are plenty of keys, boss keys, and puzzles. I only wish they were a little longer.

The items you’ll collect are all the best from 2D Zelda. You’ve got your bow, hookshot, bombs, jumping boots, etc.

This was clearly a passion project from a dev that loves and understands what makes Zelda so much fun.

Bug?

Reached the forest wife (I think) in the mine-cart puzzle area. Wouldn't respond to action button and the room had layer issues (walked completely under chairs and over table.

Bug - Infinite orbs

In the area with the guy who buried his 3 friends, the box with the shard resets when you leave the screen. You can leave and come back for infinite orbs.

I'm interested to see where this goes, I think it's a very solid zelda-style game and aside from bugs like the screen turning black when you grapple across gaps and general QOL stuff I think this has a lot of potential. Your swords range is way too short and enemies hitboxes are far too large....
