Happy New Year! A new investigator joins the squad in this Closed Beta update.

A century ago, the Lunar War erupted over the contested Lagh Metal meteorite that had fallen on the Moon. During the conflict, TALON (Tactical Aviation Low Orbit Network) commanded over a thousand air battles. The deep neural network formed by intercommunicating orbital fighter squadrons quickly surpassed human tactical ingenuity, demonstrating foresight far beyond even the greatest strategists.

After the war, TALON was decommissioned and repurposed as the navigational AI for the Archimedes, guiding the spacecraft unscathed through the dense asteroid fields of the Kuiper Belt to ultimately reach Yuggoth. Outwardly carefree and nonchalant, this veteran pilot has been quietly longing for the day it might once again soar freely in the skies like a bird—and perhaps that day is closer than it seems.

With the VR system further refined, we have shifted our focus back to the combat system and Research Passes. The pace at which new investigators are released will pick up significantly in the coming new year.

Simultaneous Orgasms gain an additional +1 to earned research progress when the outfit set is equipped.

General Changes

Backend transferred to Epic Online Services. Entering and exiting a map takes less time and the connection stability is improved.
When equipping/unequipping an anal plug in the lobby/changing room, the investigator will turn around for showcasing. You can always ask an investigator to turn around by clicking her legs in the lobby/changing room.
You can now tilt the camera in free camera mode.
Investigator's dialogue will change when any mouth gag is equipped.
Improved breasts jiggle physics.
Added toe animations to previous sex scenes for more lively feet motions.
Added mouth animations to some of the monsters that can make a sound.
Male actors' penis will become wet when given a blowjob.
Rearranged the rewards of relationship level upgrades.
Some daily tasks are now easier to complete.
It is now properly displayed that Injecting Aphrodisiacs gives 3 affinity. The affinity bonus was in effect but not shown to players before this patch.
When belly bulge disables a certain part of the costume a prompt will appear.
UI/UX improvements.
General bug fixes.

You can enter all desktop version maps.
You may now use all desktop version environment interactions, such as pole dancing and masturbating in VR.

Update 0.8.5: VR and Lounge Mode

It’s been a long time coming! Update 0.8.5 has finished testing and is now available for download through the closed beta test branch. If you encounter any issues, please feel free to file a bug report through our Github[github.com]!

This version adds VR support, accessible via the OpenXR option when launching the game.

Also added this update is Lounge Mode. Lounge Mode will contain several differently themed maps, from Neo Arkham’s subway to a spa resort in Neo Ipswich. It is completely single-player, and other players cannot join your room. The first Lounge mode map can be accessed via selecting Crew Quarters in Archimedes Station. You may also move between the crew quarters and main deck of Archimedes station directly in the map: the blast door in the crew quarters leads to the main deck, and the elevator in the main deck leads to the crew quarters.

Added Haute Couture Set Perk: Demonic Lure for all Succubus outfit sets.
- Demonic Lure:
  - Male ejaculation volume +10mL when the outfit set is equipped.
  - If the set is equipped together with womb tattoos, ejaculation volume is further increased to +20mL.
Male simultaneous orgasm ecstasy threshold is reduced to 80% from 90% on default. When your relationship level reaches Confidante with an investigator, her simultaneous orgasm threshold will also be reduced to 80%.
After reaching Research Pass Level 50, every further level up will increase your affinity with the investigator by 3.

Improvements and bug fixes:

Added Auto Mode for sex scenes. Auto Mode will automatically trigger Special Actions when prompted and investigator Sensitivity is not full. Experiments will automatically restart after any party orgasms.
Daily login now provides 30 progress points instead of 20.
Hide UI hotkey will hide itself along with all other UI elements.
Added investigator reactions when you claim their Research Pass rewards.
Sounds made by other players will have a smaller falloff range so the map won't be as noisy as before.
New music for blueprint analyzing, lobby and Archimedes Station.
Adjusted nylon materials. Pantyhose and stockings denier settings now correctly affect the shade of fabric.
POV camera is steadier.
Outfit sets can now be combined with costume pieces if there's no overlap.
Fixed various mesh deformation issues with belly bulge.
Anal plugs will no longer disappear randomly.
Fixed an issue causing the cursor to disappear.
Language settings will come into effect immediately.
Improved interactions between avatars and interactable props.

One Million Wishlists Achieved! Closed Beta Access Giveaway

Operation Lovecraft has achieved one million wishlists on Steam!🎉 As an adult-only project with zero marketing budget this is miraculous to us. Seeing an 18+ restricted game amongst recognizable masterpieces in the top wishlisted list feels kind of unreal.

Due to our decision to not release a half-finished game on Steam through Early Access but instead to officially release when it is satisfactorily completed, the development progress has been hazy to many folks who have been following us. We’ve recently upgraded Operation Lovecraft to Unreal Engine 5 and added controller support. The VR version of Harem Mode will be added in the upcoming 0.8.5 release. Update 0.9.0 will introduce core gameplay aspects with the combat system, and will be the last major update before official release.

We’re pushing hard to improve & polish the game as quickly as possible, and we’d like to thank everyone who helped with crowdfunding and closed beta testing, as well as you who are reading this.

We are giving away 50 closed beta access keys on our official Operation Lovecraft Twitter. If a winner already has access to the closed beta test, they will receive a free Harem mode Advanced Research Pass.
