I was interested in this game, and when I looked at the bad reviews one of the reviews talked about how the game was too woke and that made them refund it. I knew at that moment that I needed to buy the game. After I bought the game, I made the horrifying realization that it was a horror game. I normally cannot play horror games by myself, But a friend pressured me into trying it.

The pretty art lured me in as well, In my opinion the art is perfect as is! The pixel art is good, the drawn art is good, the one animated segment at the beginning is PHENOMENAL and despite the cute art style it can look absolutely horrifying!

The music is the weakest point of the game, And by that I mean the other points are so good it kind of knocks it down a few pegs. I did buy the record so I shouldn't be complaining and I won't be! The music is really good at emphasizing whatever you're supposed to be feeling in the moment. Whether that be horror, or absolute joy!

Pretty standard rpg maker fare from what I've seen from the other reviews, But this is my second ever rpg maker game that I played so idk. there's a few quality of life features like auto sprint that makes it easier to get around that I really appreciated! The battling and typing system was very simple to get a hold of and felt a little mundane after a bit, which I think was the point (At one point, The character you play as even looked bored lol).

The player characters internal dialog was done really well especially during the horror moments! Some of the conversations with your friends came across as a bit weak, but overall it got me very invested! At one point pretty late in the game, I was confused at when the horror would start. Only to eventually realize that the horror was all around me the entire time and I just wasn't paying enough attention until it slapped me in the face.

Overall, if you like games like Undertale and Spiritfarer you'll definitely love this!

masterfully crafted and incredible attention to detail. i struggle to think of many other pieces of media that have managed to hit quite as hard as this one.

Sometimes when I feel a little too mentally stable and sure of myself, I'll boot up this game just to remind myself of the heart wrenching horrors that the magical French people are going through inside my screen. It has everything, two gay people oblivious to each other's feelings, a self loathing, self-esteemless autistic non binary boy, a magical star creature thing with issues, an old woman, a buff transcoded man, an aroace gifted kid and an feisty enby. Oh, and the horrors of looping though time and space.

10/10, I will continue to be whisked away by the little stars in my screen promising me mental despair.

I was intrigued by the game when I first saw the concept and was wondering just how much it would pull me in. I followed the instructions and did what I could to follow every instruction to the letter. I loved Mira, Isa, Bonnie, and Dile to bits, and as I went through the loops I fell more and more in love with the goofy but loving band of heroes. It did my best to complete every loop I was on and took as few shortcuts as humanly possible. Split into multiple acts I found myself watching the shift in character and could feel my heart sinking with every change. Despite it all I was still keeping my fingers crossed for Sif and hoping for the best.

Then came the last three hours of the game. In that moment the game paid off a detail spoken nearly forty hours ago, made me go through things that I desperately wanted to stop, and tore my heart out of my chest until I finally reached the end and had a blow of catharsis that I spent an hour just sitting and digesting it all. This game is a masterpiece of getting you in the headspace of the characters in question and making you confront painful truths.

If you like dialogue heavy stories, get this game. If you like character dramas, get this. If this game even slightly interests you, get this game. It was worth every penny, and the only reason I haven't platinumed the game yet is a simple desire to give Sif a bit more rest first.
