i dont know how to get up

In chapter one after eating the lasagna when I try to go up the stairs to do my homework it is impossible, it gets stuck on the first step and does not advance.

Hitting escape doesn't do anything. Have to use task manager to kill it.

First, when i walk near a funiture, i will fly straight up in the ceiling. Second, if I die, the game will crash. Finally, the police never appear, so I cannot complete the game. I just hear the door bell rings all the time.
