Stupid buying process, I had Hitman 1 and 2 and now I don't have access to anything at all despite getting World of Assassination...

Hitman is the best puzzle game that isn't just a puzzle game. If you are coming in fresh and are interested you will love this game.

Its a sandbox game with a ton of moving parts that trigger and change based on the players actions. Its tightly designed and looks amazing.

That being said it does have some issues. I have well over a 1000 hours in this game from the previous titles and also playing it on game pass.

People have been having issues purchasing the right game.... Just get the deluxe edition of the game or the default and you shouldn't have too many issues in purchasing.

The issue comes down to if you own the previous entries in the WOA as in the Hitman 1 and 2 games. IOI really want you to purchase the full game of Hitman 3. I wasn't super stoked on it when it first came out so I played it on game pass. I thought because of my IOI account things like progression would carry over between the platforms, I can confidently say: IT DOES NOT. Same can be said about the other direction. I have put so much money into this franchise and I was trying to find ways to play the third game on a discount... Like when they give out a free episode or something I thought to myself as did others "I bet my old hitman 1 and 2 will work in the new version!"

I want to be upfront it does not. You need to purchase Hitman World of Assassination to have access to your old games content... It sucks but I eventually did get the full game and can say that all my old content is there.... EXCEPT DLC from my old games that I DO OWN. Which almost makes me want to make this not a recommended. If it wasn't for all the hours and genuine fun I have had in this game I want it to be said that I do find it EXTREMELY SCUMMY to your previous player base to change and do different editions and game packages. Especially in the form of upgrading or coming back to the game. It doesn't feel like they have the customers best interest in mind when it comes to the marketing or choices on editions.

Unlocks? Online only for a single player game

Come for the story (when on sale) and play with one of those mods that unlock everything so you can actually enjoy what the game has to offer.

I have hundreds of hours on this on my PS4. But having to restart the progression broke me. It's insane the hoops you have to go through to actually have a sandbox experience that isn't forced railroading.
