Timers, timers everywhere.

You have a timer for travel, Fine.
You have a timer for healing after combat, Understandable.
You have a timer for research, Makes sense.
You have a timer for Doomsday, hate it but I get it..
You have a timer in most missions where you auto lose if you don't kill all of the enemies in the area AND they are hidden around the battlefield.......WHAT?!

Tactical games are supposed to be fun and strategic. They're not supposed to force you into terrible situations over and over just to beat a timer. How is that fun?

It wouldn't be so bad if you were heroic, but more often than not, the enemy has better skills than you do and they have ZERO problem popping poison in large areas over and over again.

I had really high hopes for this game. Now I'm patiently waiting for a modder to fix this cluster-fart so I can actually enjoy it.

So far seems a solid X-com like Medieval Squad Based Game.

Including your base at start you can field 4 warriors with unlocking more squad slots later.

Playing on standard difficulty enemies are acting not too stupid as well as trying to attack your weakened warriors as well as using their skills and items.

Also you are normally outnumbered so you need to choose where to pick your battles or when to start then,

Some have time limits and some have a time limit after you reach one of the goals of the mission like escaping in time after a assassination or clearing a village in a certain amount of time.

So far the time limits were not harsh and not too punishing on standard difficulty.

You are encouraged to cycle through your team characters as healing takes a bit in game after your squad comes back wounded.

There is also permadeath for squad members but depending on difficulty they can survive a takedown and can be healed up if not squashed totally.

At the start pretty limited but you can see skill trees as well the team gets "weapon experience" if they constantly use the same weapons set for longer times in addition to normal level up experience.

So having a specialized guy gives you a awesome expert in the weapon he uses BUT if he uses other weapons he needs to use them for some time to get better there also.

So choosing which weapon you want to specialize the guy does definitely make a huge difference.

Go for several diversified weapon specialists or make a core of the same so you can switch your wounded guy in the next mission?

Up to you to choose.

Also there is the usual X-com like research for items and upgrading weapons and armor.

So far it feels good if you look for a good solid turn based experience.

Performance definitely needs some work by the devs but reducing things like shadow and some other tweaks helps without making the game ugly.

Graphic is nice so far but nothing too breathtaking so far.

Graphic is OK for a squad based battle game and the kill scenes are also gruesome and bloody.

So far looking nice and not experiencing any crashes unlike other posters.

That optimization for performance should be done and hopefully incoming is a deserved request from the players so far.

My 5 cents after the first 3 hours of the game.

Updating after some more time in game.

P.S.

I am a bit amused about negative reviews with 1 hour play time.

You get through the "tutorial" start mission and maybe can do one mission with this time.

So making a crushing comment "this is bad" needs to be taken with a grain of salt in my opinion.

At the moment I can not recommend this game. I was super excited for this game, instantly wishlisted and bought it when able. From what I have played I do enjoy the game but the timers to find enemies on the battlefield does not feel tactical at all, more often than not you end up losing people to try and beat the clock. You have 15 turns there are 4 of you and anywhere from 10-15 enemies that you have to kill, and then look for others (which usually wastes a few of your turns because you are running around blind as a bat trying to find them. NO tactical repositioning because you just killed 11 enemies and you have 3 turns left to kill the other 4. I hope the devs get rid of the time constraints on the battlefield, because last I checked in medieval times the enemies didn't attack each other and run out of turns. It is just super difficult when you are trying to survive the more than double enemies on the field and you only have 3 turns left. I think I killed the last dudes on my last turn and lost 2 of my people while doing it.
