Good game, bad performances. Like REALLY bad by the end; I guess it's best to keep your ship small unless you want to drop under 5 fps when you move around.

I hope this will be fixed in the future. If not, with new content and the need to always have more stuff, I might not be able to keep recommending the game.

Somehow booting into ultra wide resolution still crashes the game. This should be priority to address if they are going to keep marketing early access. It should at the very least be bootable if the resolution is going to even be an option. Why is this important? Because it has been like this for four months at minimum suggesting no urgency to actually address the most basic technical hurdles.

its different from many other Survival games, where most of them is on the ground or at sea.
in this survival game you are flying around in a Airship, trying to find a cure to heal the world from a virus, you can upgrade your airship, weapons tools and more. of you want a small Airship you can have that, or if you like me want a big Airship, well you go for it. i can only recommend this game if you like me love survival games, but wanna try something new and exciting.

Really enjoyable experience.

Especially early on, it has a solid progression loop: Every time you solve a problem, you'll run into a separate problem, but you're better prepared to handle it because you solved the first one. Not enough water? Great, do some exploring and get a water tank to store it. Not enough food? Spend some time gardening. The excess water will let you produce more. Not enough space to work? Too much weight? Collect materials and expand your airship. The extra food and water will make your life much easier as you gather. Your airship goes everywhere with you, so you're never far from home, and it will only get better stocked with time.

I saw some reviews complaining about difficulty, but I found it just right for a survival game. You'll waste a fair amount of time early babysitting stats, but once you start getting decent equipment, it's just background noise. I played on hard and only fell into a single death spiral... As a result of a decision I made to ignore multiple red flags. You're shoehorned into exploring a certain way, and the threats you face scale appropriately with your available technology.

Sadly, the exploration aspect is also the weakest part of this game. The map is procedurally-generated and seems to go on forever, but you'll be running into the same 5-6 locations over and over again. Despite the fact you're in an airship, you're rarely adjusting altitude, except to land or avoid debris. A different game would have you driving around a flat desert with an extendable ladder, and it would be functionally the same thing. There are no biomes or distinctive locations. It's just empty space with blinking lights to pilfer.

If I had any wish with this game, it would be for the devs to use a map that takes better advantage of the 3-dimensionality that comes with an airship. This would require redoing how the map is generated from the top down, and I don't see that happening.

With that said, I got my money's worth sinking a good 50 hours into this one, and that's because the airship development is so much fun. Even though you're only building a sky brick with balloons on top, there are enough moving pieces that you constantly feel the need to add a little more around the edges. Though I have everything unlocked, I can see myself putting in another 50 hours just trying to optimize and customize different parts of the ship. It's that fun.

amazing game took hours to catch on and loved the idea wish it was multiplayer man the potential.

I've avoided the game for a long time as I thought that being limited to an airship is...too limiting. But I was totally wrong. It is fun to expand your base aka airship and you're exploring plenty of buildings, structures and even small bits of the ground level.
And the graphic is just beautiful, even on lower settings.
Another aspect I like is that you don't get attacked all the time. There are certain dangerous areas, but most of the time you're safe. In the end you bring the conflict to the critters and not the other way around.

As a fan of Ark Survival Evolved , this game gives me good vibes I can 100% recommend this game.

Absolutely loved playing this open world campaign. The only limitation to the design of the ship the creativity of the pilot. Im patiently waiting for it to become multi player to further enjoy this master piece of a game, and excited for the full release to see what else the devs will add to the story. Amazing art style and a very relaxing game play style where even the "combat" is more chillax then most games when you're idle.

10/10 do not regret buying it early access
