Grimstar: Prequel. Update 1.4.0 is available!

Hello, Corporates!

The Grimstar: Prequel update 1.4.0 has been released. I would like to thank you again for all your feedback on Steam and Discord, which also made this update possible.

The following are some of the major changes:

New Map Design

A new Optical Map Design has been added, with more objects on the map. The maps should no longer look so empty.

Balancing

There have been further balancing improvements made to the new enemy and player fractions. There has also been a slight update to the existing mission maps.

Bug fixing

A number of bugs have been fixed, allowing the game to run more smoothly. One critical bug was fixed during the loading of new missions. The process has been sped up and shouldn't be interrupted any longer.

Any feedback you have about the new update would be greatly appreciated!

Grimstar: Release Date

Hello RTS fans!

As you've probably noticed, we've pushed back the release date of Full Version to Q1 next year. My goal is to make the Full Version of the game better using all the feedback you provide. Aside from identifying the key issues and improving all aspects of the game, your input helps us greatly with optimizations and bug fixing. As you can guess all of this takes a lot of time (especially when only one guy develops a game (-;)), so we have to move the release date of the Full Version once more.

I hope you understand that I strive for the highest quality possible when the Full Version is released.

At the beginning of December, we released Version 1.3.0 of the Free Version, which includes all optimizations. Please test it and let me know what you think. As I mentioned, this would also be very helpful in improving the Full Version.

Here is a video with excerpts from a few missions from the full version as a small consolation:

Greetings space lovers!

The Steam Strategy Fest is around the corner!
And it is our pleasure to announce that the GRIMSTAR: CRYSTALS ARE THE NEW OIL! demo will once again be available during the event.

Feel free to add the game to your wishlist after playing the demo, especially if you enjoyed it so you won't miss any updates.

This demo is essentially Grimstar: Welcome to the savage planet (which in turn is the prologue for the full version of the game - Grimstar: Crystals are the New Oil!) that you are most probably already are familiar with.
It's available on Steam for free and you can add it to your library in order to permanently keep it, or leave a feedback review.

On August 28th at 10:00 AM PDT (UTC-7) until September 4th, you can dive deep into the story about the savage world of alien planets and the brutal life of a corporate representative.

Good god what did you do to it, add 10 TB of spyware? Noting loads any more the damn mission is just stuck at loading but never progressing ever!

Are there any projects to translate the game into other languages? I'm from the Brazilian community and I was very interested in the game. I would like to know if there are any future plans to translate to Portuguese

Feedback zur Demo

Grafik: Die Darstellung der Umwelt und der Einheiten ist erstaunlich gut gelungen. Beides ist sehr kreativ, schön detailliert und angenehm farblich abgestimmt. Auch die Bewegungen der gegnerischen Schwärme wirkt glaubhaft und in deren Darstellung der Gegnertypen unterscheiden sie sich sehr stark. Das gesamte Designpaket wirkt rundum überzeugend. Es wäre wünschenswert, dieses Talent bei einem größeren Entwicklungsstudio zu sehen. Die Assets sind richtig gut und sollten besser woanders eingesetzt werd...
