Does anyone know how to unlock these achievement?

I am in a very early stage of the game and in the conversation between the main character and a sort of innkeeper/spokesman I find that if I hit the wrong dialog choice the game repeats, essentially wiping out any progress. I would call this Not Acceptable behavior....

I loaded my save file, and the game is stuck on the dialogue with mom. Portrait appears, and text does not. What to do?
