My Hero Ultra Rumble - The Worst Game I've Ever Played

My Hero Ultra Rumble is, without a doubt, the most infuriatingly bad game I've ever played. As a huge My Hero Academia fan, I was pumped to dive into this game, but wow, what a trainwreck. Let me break down why this game belongs in the hall of shame.

Unbalanced Matchmaking: The matchmaking system in this game is a complete joke. Every time I queue up, I get thrown into matches with players who clearly have sold their souls to become gaming gods while I’m still fumbling around like a newbie. It’s like bringing a spoon to a sword fight. Seriously, did the developers even test this? I’ve seen more balanced seesaws at a playground.

Ticket rolling System Failure: Ah, the rolling system. What a delightful exercise in futility. I’ve rolled so many tickets hoping to get a decent hero or moveset, but guess what? I got nothing. Nada. Zip. It’s like the game is mocking me: “Oh, you wanted something useful? How cute.” I’d have better luck winning the lottery while being struck by lightning than getting a good character here. It’s a scam, plain and simple.

Trashy and Unbalanced Gameplay: The gameplay is where this game truly shines in its awfulness. Characters and movesets are so unbalanced it’s comical. Some heroes are practically invincible, while others are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. It’s as if they threw a dart at a board to decide which character gets to be OP today. Every match is a chaotic mess where strategy and skill are just sad, distant dreams.

Overall Experience: To say I’m disappointed is putting it mildly. My Hero Ultra Rumble is a disaster from start to finish. The unbalanced matchmaking, the infuriating ticket system, and the trashy gameplay make it the worst game I've ever had the misfortune of playing. I wanted to love this game so badly, but it’s clear it’s nothing but a poorly executed cash grab. Do yourself a favor and avoid this game like it’s a rabid raccoon. If you need me, I’ll be over here playing something that doesn’t make me want to hurl my controller out the window.

Honestly pretty good concept, but execution is trash.
With some of the best characters you can use locked behind pay-to-win lootboxes, leaving PVP entirely unbalanced with the biggest advantages handed to the deepest pockets rather than skill, this game shoots itself in the foot at the word 'go'. Animation is pretty fluid, and the very few characters I have access to all feel really good to run [even toolkit to work with that feels fitting for each of the ones I've tried so far], but unless your fav is the milk-toast obvious picks of 'main character and his love interest' or 'the bad guy with the most screentime', there is a very large chance your going to have to start pouring your wallet out into the game just to play a character you may want.

Honestly, ditch the lootbox-for-characters crap, and sell cosmetics rather than the characters. solves the most obvious, and up-front problem with the game, since at least a couple characters seem to have a severe advantage over any of the free characters outright.

Great 3D battler, give us more free heroes.
