I can't even get past the brightness settings in opening?

i pressed every key on my keyboard and mouse but i can only adjust the slider for the brightness but nothing else works.

PARANOIA PLACE - FULL RELEASE

PARANOIA PLACE is officially out of Early Access! This update contains the last major set of changes as we go into our full v1.0 launch:

• Co-op UP to 3 Players
• Complete rebalanced all game difficulties
• Two big multi-level maps (Chapters)
• Increased replayability
• Major Loot spawn rebalancing
• Major game optimization
• Proximity voice chat
• Killer can hear your mic (Optional)
• Added localization into 13 languages
• Complete reworked audio system
• Added controller support
• Added dynamic MAP
• Dropped items now appear in MAP view
• Flashlight now infinite
• Flashlight flickers when killer spawn nearby
• Improved killer behavior (depending on the selected game difficulty)
• Exit demonic hands now need time to burn out after completing the ritual
• Fixed collision glitches on low specs PC's
• Overseer wall creature AI fixes
• Orphan creature AI improved
• New achievements (28 in total)
• Many, many, many other minor fixes

We put everything we've wanted into v1.0 of PARANOIA PLACE! Like we said before, after our game launches we'll be monitoring this launch closely to ensure it's as problem-free as possible for all players, deploying patches as needed to address any issues. Once we're sure things are in a good spot, our small team will be taking a break to recharge, and plan what's next. I must admit I was skeptical at first, especially after getting the game for only 1€ on sale, I was wrong tho, it was fun and turned out to be pretty decent and full of potential.

The aspects listed below appealed to me the most:

Creative puzzles! Let's be honest, they're not the toughest nut to crack, as you come across notes that help you go step by step with your find and collect escape plan. Okay maybe I lied, it's not step by step since they're placed randomly and you share a brain cell with your friend, but still the puzzle difficulty is mediocre and even if you and your friend are both berks, you should be fine.
(Till the recent update) 2 players! So this is what I found unique considering there are horror games like Devour, Phasmo, Pacify etc. which you're recommended to play in a bigger group, but in this case 2 players gameplay seemed very optimized yet not the easiest. There's also a single player mode, but hey I chickened out, alright let's move to the next one...
Additional obstacles in maps that attract the killer to you like scattered glass, wooden cracks, killer's friends, traps , which make the game a bit more spoopy.
In general the game is quite easy to jump into with its simple yet enjoyable purpose. The map design is nice, it builds up engaging atmosphere.
The game seems stable, personally I had no bigger issues (besides one time when the crazy doctor got stuck in the door, what caused us cracking up, don't worry tho, we helped the poor guy:) )

What I liked slightly less:

Sometimes the killer behavior was a bit wonky as he would act like he's obsessed with only one player and he would come back to where the player's hiding so you can't go out for a good few minutes lmao (tho the new announcement claims the killer AI have been improved, personally I didn't check it yet). On the other hand the other player would get accidentally spared by the killer since he didn't see them while literally looking at them crouching in the corner lmao. These small bugs made the game really comedic at times.
One of the maps-orphanage seems a bit more advanced than the asylum since the end game is a bit longer and there are more steps and rooms to reach that.
In the new update you can play up to 3 players which I think makes the game way too easy:)
Personally, I don't think there is a purpose of replaying it after beating it in the hardest difficulty (or/and on single player for the sake of achievements). That's probably the biggest flaw I see, especially in comparison with already mentioned games like Devour etc. You simply just know what to do, so the only challenge will be killer's behavior.

I hope the devs won't abandon the game and will add new content! I played it when it was in early access and now when it's fully released I only see there've been fixes and small changes added, I really hoped for new maps. However if the initial goal of Paranoia Place was 2 maps with different difficulties, then I'm fine with that too. I do recommend it. Also, if you're an achievement seeker, you should get most achievements in 2 gameplays so in about 3-5 hours in multiplayer, otherwise the rest won't be the hardest to get either.

7/10 Good stuff, can take a little bit to beat by yourself but once you learn the mechanics it becomes pretty smooth. Hopeful for more content!

If you like co-op puzzle solving with proximity chat, this game is enjoyable. My issues with the game is that most of the time there's no direction for where the items you need are since it's really hard to spot them when looking around--you can spend 15 minutes looking for one thing cause the glow on the object is practically nonexistent. Also, some hiding spots are glitched since you can be hiding in it before the monster fully spawns in and he can still "find" you. The stories are fine enough I suppose and the puzzles aren't boring, but it's the small things that really make the game less enjoyable.

Your feedback, your patience and support have been invaluable, shaping PARANOIA PLACE into the game it is today.

We believe that time has come! PARANOIA PLACE is ready to go full release on 9th April!
As many of you already know many of our plans have been disrupted by the horrific and unjust war that russia started against our country, Ukraine. The russian aggression persists, and we still have a great deal of work ahead to support our people and our families during this challenging time.
After leaving Early Access we'll be monitoring this launch closely to ensure it's as problem-free as possible for all players, deploying patches as needed to address any issues. Once we're sure things are in a good spot, our small team will be taking a break to recharge, and plan what's next.

Problems disconnecting from the game

My friend and I are having a lot of trouble staying in the game. In every game we try to play together, we end up disconnected from the game and there is no way to get back into the game because there is no checkpoint or way to save. Is something else happening because of this?...
