Thoughts on Demo (4/26/24)

I'm not sure what happened but the menus don't respond consistently to my gamepad or keyboard, I'd say its about 25% of the time that they do respond, so it is frustrating to assign items to locations or modifiers, or choose what effect you want from the arrow power up things. Actual gameplay feels the same, it's just in the menus that this is a problem. Thanks for the screen shake toggle, much appreciated. Food items seem to drop a lot more frequently, which is probably a good idea for players in genera...

[Big Update] New Demo, and Publisher announcement!

Hey everyone!

I'm super thrilled to announce that Astrolabe Games will be publishing Dunjungle!
This relationship will allow me to focus 100% on the development of the game, helping make Dunjungle the best that it can be.

Having said that, I'm also excited to share a MAJOR update in the demo! Here you can find a list of what's new since the last update:

LOCALIZATION - More languages are available! English, Spanish, Chinese (simplified and traditional), and Japanese.
WEAPON SPECIAL ATTACKS - ALL primary weapons received were updated! Hold the attack button to execute each weapon Special Attack.
EQUIPMENT RARITY SYSTEM - Now you can find different versions of each Weapon and Skill! Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Increasing the quality and adding stat bonuses.
PERMANENT PROGRESSION - Putting the 'T' in 'RogueliTe', Dunjungle now offers permanent upgrades that you can progressively unlock to increase your power for your following incursions.
FAMILIARS - You can now find and rescue BABY MONKEYS that will follow you around and help you for the rest of the run.
NEW EQUIPMENT - Loads of new Relics with cool effects to enhance your strategies, and new weapons to use.
ENEMIES - New Rooms and new enemies to fight.
INPUT SYSTEM - You can now customize your inputs. Keyboard and Gamepad.

There's also a Survey link on the main menu. Feel free to complete it for general feedback on the game, or as always, you can also contact me or post in the Community hub.

I like this

It's definitely fun to play. I hope there are lots of different sssnake debuffs and randomness in the game. I can see it being like a side scrolling Binding of Isaac type game for me. Play whenever I have spare time for a bit of fun. Runs seem really short for the beginning so it's easy to pick up and put down. A temp save after every Boss would be cool so you can choose to continue later....

Extremely jittery camera

The scrolling is not smooth, as soon as the screen scrolls, the camera jitters. It's almost like the camera is scrolling 1 tile at a time, but I doubt it's doing that. If I had motion sickness, I'd definitely get it from this camera. This must be a bug or some kind of mistake, because nobody else has reported this. I have a 165Hz panel, so I am betting that's the cause....
