this game managed to fill a void in my soul that no other game could, when i hit the end credits i was blessed with a wave of despair but in a comforting way. this game was a perfect mix of everything i could have ever wanted, gore, humour, space, colourful effects, character depth, decision making, stimulating and strategic gameplay, world exploration, story twists and many more things. i give 0 ♥♥♥♥♥ if this review is corny, as a rick and morty fan for years - this game deserves a review with effort. this will be a game i will come back to replay over and over. the literal only downsides of this game is that it can be a little unstable and will crash, enemies can get stuck in unreachable spots, voicelines can still be audible from dead npcs or they may repeat them when unneeded. i also wish there was more content, as someone who spends a lot of time playing games 10 hours of story/playtime isnt nearly enough for me and i crave more. overall i give this game a hefty 8/10.

High on Life is really funny. Like, actually funny—not just trying to be. The talking weapons, irreverent worldbuilding, and absurd tone completely worked for me.

Unfortunately, the gunplay was just okay, and I ran into enough glitches—falling through floors, getting stuck in the environment—that I eventually lost interest in pushing through.

If you vibe with the humor, it’s definitely worth checking out. Just know that gameplay and polish aren’t the main attractions.

If you love Rick & Morty then this is the game for you, if not then don't buy it.

The gameplay is decent, nothing groundbreaking but they did a good job making it interesting enough to explore and add enough things to make it unique (I was a big fan of the movie theater with the guys from RedLetterMedia commenting on the movie). The guns each have their own flair, with boss fights WAY easier if you use the right one. I like the dynamic between them but out of the boss fights, you'll mainly either use Kenny or Creature.

Storywise, it's like watching a Rick and Morty episode. There's some story but nothing that'll make you jump out your seat. It's mediocre but the worlds and NPCs really do add to the whole experience. Without them, the game would feel empty as ♥♥♥♥.

Overall, I really liked the game and will probably do another playthrough on hardest difficulty to get the rest of the achievements. I'll give it a solid 7/10. Score could be higher but there are quite a lot of glitches, I find some of the boss fights to just be a mess and badly tuned and the guns and NPCs do keep going on (although this was patched and can be turned off).
