I have assassin's creed 1, i just bought it and it freezes in certain parts, i'm on a strong pc that runs flawlessly dead island 2 and the last of us remake, but i don't know why in ac 1 it freezes for a sec and then comes back

Hi all. I've recently bought the whole AC bundle and wanted to start playing form the beginning starting with AC1. Unfortunately the game doesn't launch at all. I tried every option that I'm aware of to hopefully fix this but nothing has worked. I am on a high end laptop I would say a Asus ROG Strix 2023 with a Ryzen9 and a 4080 If that matters at all I don't know.
