Cannot start the game at the title screen. Mouse icon does not appears and the controller does not work. Need help.

cannot start the game. have neither a mouse pointer nor the possibility to select something in the start menu with the controller. I can't select any settings or start the game.

I'm near the end of the game (I think) and there's a cabinet which I just opened which has a box and a padlock on it. It requires a 3 digit code, but I have no idea what it is or where to find it, and I have a mad woman chasing me with the knife - any help is appreciated!...

Why did the protagonist kill the child he was going to adopt? Unless I missed some notes, this is not clearly explained. Other than that, very good and engaging game, well done devs!
