Another wonderful entry in the delightful Trine series. Full of the usual charm and whimsy and expertly crafted gameplay and visuals.

I played through all the way with a friend, so I am writing from a two-person co op perspective.

Overall it is a good game. It looks gorgeous, the fairy tale aesthetic never fails, and the enviromental and character designs are all great, the puzzles are creative and the new powers are fun to mess around with, and can even be used to solve a puzzle in a completely different way than what the developers no doubt intended.

However, I do feel like the game overstays its welcome a bit with its ~20 hour runtime, and some levels are genuinely insane difficulty spikes compared to others. I think there were like two occasions when it was basically impossible to tell what you could interact with in the enviroment, and the boss fight-puzzles combos were more annoying then rewarding for me (and I think for my friend too).

If you are looking for a challenge, alone, or with a friend, I can highly recommend it. If you'd like to just chill out with a fairy tale-esque puzzle game, I recommend against it, cuz it will piss you off more than once, guaranteed.
