My game does not start up. When i try it thinks about for a short sec and then gives up. I dont know this game but wanted to try something different from my usuals.

First, let me say that I bought this game for nostalgia purposes. I played it a ton back when it was considered new. I remember it pretty well. I'm having this weird issue where the hit probabilities in game are completely off. I'll have a battleship with 10+ disrupters, I'll target a ship with an 80% hit probability, I'm within range (I know, everyone is going to say I'm out of range, but I'm positive I'm in range) and not a single shot will connect. I'll even go in closer, have a >100% hit probabili...

I still occasionally play this game from my CD version, but I need an emulator to do so! I just want to confirm that this steam version works just by pressing play.

The Steam SE3 folder contains a strategy.doc, which is a strategy document for SE2. It shouldn't be a big deal for Steam to move strategy.doc to SE2, where it belongs (and to add the excellent SE3 manual to SE3, where it's missing). As I have both games, I can do the move of strategy.doc myself (and I have obtained the SE3 manual from the SE3 shareware files), so I'm covered, but perhaps Steam could do their other customers a favour, and fix what they messed up. Both games deserve it!...
