All the usual trappings and charm of a Gust game. Light and fluffy plot, a touch of melancholy and straightforward but fun mechanic as well as some charming characters. Based on that, I recommend this if you enjoy other games by them. It's already improved on the original in many areas. Oh, I recommend the Ether Synthesis DLC if you do buy this, it's handy.

I have no idea how this relates to the first game yet, so I don't know if you actually need to play that first, but from what I can tell so far the two are completely separate, if this proves to be the case don't bother with the original as this is superior in almost every way. It's an easy and chilled out game to play, but I'm not sure it could hold my focus if it was all I have to play, but seeing as I just completed Expedition 33 this is just what I needed.
