Made In China.

So, holy crap, I'm pretty sure this is my first ever review of a Steam game. But I felt compelled to voice my thoughts (confusion?) about this game, if it can be called a game.
I remember crossing several reviews from when it was first released that said it's a weird cheesy but great looking game (ray tracing being new at the time). So I dropped it into my Wishlist and generally ignored it until I saw it on sale today (23 Sep 24). DL'ed it and even before the game began/at the title menu, it definitely looked like the old reviews were already making their case. And when the game proper began, said reviews were proven true. From the very first second, the odd voice acting and cinematic direction was laughable at best. It's raining like a mofo, but 100,000 people (no, literally, it's what he newscaster said) are viewing fireworks? And this chick, apparently some sort of super-agent, gets a call (on a glass smartphone, of course) and we see her awkwardly getting dressed and immediately jumping into some sort of rocket pod with warp drive (again, literally, warp drive) on her apartment? Then I failed the *cutscene* because I didn't "Descend (altitude)" quick enough. What the heck.

Anyway, I end up landing on some random island that may or may not be getting eaten up by a black hole (yes, really). Yeah. I shoot some badguys, use my energy sword that I have for some reason, and continue the mission. After a few unpolished enemy encounters and tutorials, I... you know what. I'm just going to stop there. This game is just hella awkward in every way conceivable. The graphics, the controls, the story (if it can be called a story).... just what the heck, it's hard to believe this isn't a one-man indie game.

If it's on sale for $1.99USD or less, buy it for the laughs. Otherwise, stay away. 2/10, reinforces negative stereotypes of bad Chinese products.

so the game is that short... and even the demo had better lore then the main game... yeah I just going to put you guys on my Ignore list, please choke on my $20 I give you FYQD-studio. An have a bad day...
