Full Compatibility with the Steam Deck

Hi everyone! The team is pleased to announce that Shujinkou has been tested thoroughly on the Steam Deck, with all of its features and inputs working without issue. Players will be able to practice writing Japanese using the Steam Deck's touch screen.

Shujinkou supports up to 4K (3840x2160) resolutions on the Steam Deck.

The FPS is confirmed to hover at 60 FPS throughout the entire experience, and load times are fast, ranging from around 3-5 seconds when entering different major areas in the game.

We've been quietly developing Shujinkou for the last six years, and the title's development is finally coming close to being finished.

Exceeding Expectations and Localization Hopes

I didn't expect the game to release a demo. I played it briefly, and the production quality exceeded my expectations. However, I haven't reached the core gameplay part yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'll take a deeper dive into the game when I have more free time. Additionally, for most Chinese players, dealing with English can be challenging. I hope a Chinese localization can be added, as I believe this game could have a significant market in China....

Won't start?

Will the demo not start for anybody else? I get to the title screen that says "press any button to continue" but no buttons actually get me through that screen. I tried every keyboard button, left and right mouse buttons, and plugged in a controller and tried all of those buttons. The only reaction I got was to Escape and circle (on my PS controller), both of which asked me if I wanted to exit....

Nov 4 Update seems to have broken the demo

Missing executable error. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the demo but that didn't fix things

Unplayable on ultrawide

Hi I would love to test this out, however after the intro movie plays and it jumps into the first conversation section the FOV is locked to a 16:9 view, which chops off all of the text and makes interaction impossible. Unable to select anything, see text or exit the game (requires alt+f4) at the moment....
