The optimizations from the Beta (Performance) build are now in Live and the Demo! You can read more about those changes in the last post here. Ongoing optimizations will continue to be made, but this is a big one, please check it out!

One of the most requested features is the ability to use excess GP somehow, because you can become capped at 999 quite quickly if you have a favorite Guise. Players have also said that it's no fun trying to get new characters up to speed when they have no GP to spend. Today's update attempts to fix both of these issues by introducing a new feature: The GP Pool.

This new feature allows you to dump your character's GP into a shared "Pool" that can be drawn from and used on other characters on any Guise you wish. GP can be dumped in a rate divided by 5 which allows for you to get a leg up on your Guises, but doesn't remove the need to collect GP completely.

Along with this update are a number of improvements to Guises, optimizations to many areas including overworld load times, and general bugfixes. Please feel free to join us on Discord if you have any questions or just want to talk about the game, the community is very warm and welcoming.

If you were using the Performance build you can now change it back None to go back to the Live version which includes the same improvements as that build. Please note that the Performance build will likely become a more generalized Beta build at some point when new features are being tested, but may fall out of date with Live. I will make an update when there's something new to check out that's not quite ready for Live.

Hi all,

I've been working for many months now trying to make sure the game is well optimized as best I can, but some people still suffer from low framerate and stuttering, and I want to make that a non-issue as best as I can.

There is now a Performance build of the game which acts as a beta of sorts for these optimizations. Anyone that owns the game can opt into this and test it out. Many of the improvements are on the back-end, however there is a new feature under the Visual options called Culling Distance that will allow players to change the number of objects/NPCs on-screen. The default is 60 tiles, so please try the 20 and 40 options and let me know if this new feature makes the game better for you.

This is how you opt in. Just right-click the game in your library and go to the Properties.

I've seen improvements from 4-5 FPS up to 120 FPS with this new feature alone! Please check it out and let me know what you think. You should be able to swap to this build and play with your current save files, but please please PLEASE back up your saves first just in case!

Hi all,

Today's update brings some additions to the Infamy system and character friendship values in Infinite Mana. I always felt the system could be a little more, and your feedback has only made me want to add to it. You will find new NPCs to interact with throughout the world which you can either help or hinder/harm which will raise or lower your Outstanding Infamy - the choice is up to you! You will also gain Outstanding Infamy from being sent to jail. This system will pave the way for a future update in which your choices will play a larger role.

• Small changes to several Guises.
  
• Fixes for incorrect items, descriptions, and event placements.
  
• Various grammar/spelling fixes.
  
• Various performance fixes.

And there are a few other things on the way though I do not have a timeframe for a few, I just want you to be aware that they are being worked on:

• The soundtrack will be out in a couple weeks!
  
• A performance build that may fix performance issues for many people.
  
• Linux and Mac builds.

Hi all, just a few bugfixes today. Thanks for the reports!

• Fixed an issue where sleeping at the Wynn or Al'tuad inns could teleport the player to the Void.
  
• Resolved an issue where the main character's skin color could be different on the field and in battle.
  
• City guards now respawn after a while, fixing an issue where they didn't.
  
• Fixed an issue where a certain Guardian was still present on screen after the cutscene.
  
• Resolved an issue where future characters were not able to learn the Rogue's Pilfer skill.
  
• Fixed an issue with the Spellblade's final skill granting a lower percentage of TP than intended.
  
• Various grammar/spelling fixes.
