What is DeTechtive 2112?
Set in a neon-drenched cyberpunk universe, DeTechtive 2112 combines intense action and stealth gameplay with a gripping narrative. You’ll step into the shoes of a futuristic detective navigating a dystopian world filled with conspiracies, intrigue, and danger.

First of all, thank you all for joining us on the journey of our game and for your incredible support! Today, we’re excited to announce that we have decided to make Ronin Two Souls free.

Why Are We Making This Change?
We want Ronin Two Souls to reach as many players as possible, to share our story with a larger audience, and to focus on our new projects while staying connected with our community. We believe that making the game free is the right step in this direction.

When Will This Change Take Effect?
Starting from November 9, 2024, our game will be available for free. To all players who purchased the game before this date, we want to express our deepest appreciation; you will always hold a special place in our community.

Your comments and support mean the world to us. We’ll continue on this journey with your feedback, so please feel free to share your thoughts with us!

RONIN TWO SOULS VERSION 1.1 UPDATE

Hello everyone, there has been no update for RONIN for a long time and this situation needs to be clarified;
We needed some time for both Unreal Engine 5 Update and to solve big and small problems in our game. We fixed most of the issues and worked hard to make our game more playable. Let's see what happened to RONIN together.

START A NEW GAME TO AVOID PROBLEMS WITH NEW UPDATE!

WHAT'S NEW AND SOLVED PROBLEMS

The dialog system and its visuals have been completely changed. Now, a more familiar, Text-based screen welcomes us.
New mission types have been added to the game with separate icons, now you can clearly see what type of mission you are doing.
The minimap has been added to the bottom left of the screen. We had a problem in your previous RONIN Experiences, you were constantly losing your direction due to the fullness of the map, so you had to constantly open the Map and look in the direction you were going to go. There is no such problem anymore, thanks to the minimap, you will be able to see the direction you are going. Apart from that, you can enlarge or reduce the map with the "N" button.
We have upgraded our game running on Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. This update is reflected in the game both in terms of optimization and visuals.
Borderless screen which was only option in previous versions added as an option.
Fixed typos and animation issues.
All cutscenes have been reworked and increased cinematic impact.
When you start the game, you will now have Colored Feather and Death's Breath as standard in your inventory.
Added special icons on collectible or interactable items.
Removed some of the easter eggs.
Slightly adjusted the health and energy of enemies.
Unreal Engine 5 feature Global Illumination has been added to the Graphics settings tab. (If you want to turn off this setting, which requires too much power, you need to turn that setting low.)
A few cutscenes from the Land of the Dead have been reworked.
The cutscene at the intro of the game has been reworked.
A new law has been enacted to hide the faces of male and female NPCs, now everyone has to wear masks because the Shogun in power has stolen everyone's faces!
Fixed this issue where we could sometimes fall under the ground while fighting enemies on the island of Yamagato.

In the beginning our goal when we were making Ronin was to give the player a narrative experience, but later in the direction of our and your wishes we added other mechanics to our game. Trading system which is one of these mechanics was working through dialogs and it was difficult to understand. And this system's biggest problem was unability to provide freedom to the player. With a decision we made in recent time, we changed this system completely.

NEW MISSION ICONS ADDED TO MAKE SOME IMPORTANT MISSONS MORE APPARENT

One of the mistakes when we were making Ronin was seperating missions in three groups. While playing Ronin, players were having difficulties to understand which mission will improve his character or have an effect to the story. We decided to change some mission icons to solve this problem.

SIGNS

Although Toshi island is a small island, it has a complex and layered structure as well. Most of the players are having a hard time to understand where they are and which direction they need to go in this complexity. We are thinking that the best solution will be adding signs to the crossroads and a minimap which will be added in future.

WHY DID US NEED TO CHANGE?

As you can see in the image above, we want to switch from the current real-time dialog screen to the "text-based" dialog screen used by many similar games. The reason for this is that we are insufficient in the characters and animations in the current dialogues. We think that we can convey the dialogue to you better by using descriptions of the story, character and event in terms of writing.

*Finally, we are working on the new combat system. We will let you know the details in the new diaries soon.

WE ARE TAKING A BREAK

Dear Samurai,

We’d like to share with you some important news about the future of our studio and Ronin: Two Souls. But first, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. Thanks to your faith in us and your support, we have come this far.

As you know, Ronin: Two Souls came out of early access last May and we're now started developing the second part of Kenji's adventure and our new combat system. It is impossible for us to give a certain date for the completion of the development of the second part because we are stepping into a new phase of our lives. We have a six-month-long military service. Starting in July, we'll suspend Ronin's development to carry out our military service. No updates will be released during this period. When we return from the military in 2022, we will continue the development process of part two at full speed and fulfill our long-term plans where we left off. See you again in 2022.
