Dear users. Today we have released an update to version 2.1. This update combines both gameplay improvements and a partial return to the old atmosphere of the game. We know that not all players liked the visibility markings and the number of weapons. The complete list of changes is as follows:

ENEMIES

1. Now opponents react to player movements based on many parameters: visibility, noise, flashlight, etc.
   
2. Enemies have become more dangerous and learned to deal damage from a distance
   
3. Barricades guarded by cultists appeared on the roads

WEAPON

• A real weapon appeared - a crossbow. Look for it in special boxes on the map

LEVEL

• Created a brand new final cave with a monolith, now much more epic

The changes are very significant, they greatly change the atmosphere of the game. And it seems to us that now it will be much more difficult and interesting to play!

GLOBAL OPTIMIZATION

We have developed a system for streaming objects on the map, similar to that used by large open world games. This allowed us to achieve an increase in FPS by 3-5 times on most video cards. Now "Sign of Silence" will be comfortable to play on medium level hardware


GAMEPLAY

• We have added a "lives" accumulation system. How to get additional "lives" - you will learn in the game!
  
  
• In the new version, you can finally see the detective - the one whose notes you found all over the map
  
  
• The Witch can now spawn randomly while tracking players. You need to be even more careful when traveling through the forest!

We haven't released updates for a long time, and now, finally, this moment has come!

Today we present you with a big update with new location, new enemy, new ending and many other innovations and improvements.


Added a new location - Mines with lair of darkness.
The old mines located under Riven Peak are now open to the public. In them you can find new adventures, wander around interesting places and find a lair of darkness - a terrible monolith that is the source of evil in these places.

The Cultist is a fanatical minion of the forbidden cult who worships the monolith. He is able to get into the mind and kill anyone he sees. The cultists don't see very well in the dark, but don't get caught in his flashlight.

Expulsion of darkness. Once they reach the monolith, players can interrupt the cultists' ritual that supports it, killing them and freeing Danville and the surrounding area from the forces of darkness.

Now, after the witch kills the player, by tearing off the head, the forces of darkness make the head "come to life", turning it into a terrible spider-like creature that can follow its friends, but, unfortunately, it will not be able to escape.

After completing the game on a new ending, players will receive a new achievement that they can brag to their friends.

We hope you have a lot of fun during your Halloween celebration!

But, in addition to ending the Halloween event, this update also introduces what many of you have been waiting for - game optimizations and performance increases! As well as other changes, but first things first.

• a lot of work has been done to optimize the game
  
• the system of loading and storing game objects in memory has been reworked
  
• reduced the total number of game objects by combining them
  
• simplified polygon of some small objects that do not affect the visual appearance of the game
  
• configured LOD groups for stones and branches

• added a pointer to the north on the compass for better orientation on the map
  
• increased the number of places where ordinary enemies can appear, added the probability of their appearance
  
• added small screamer in Danwille

• changed the operation mode of the voice chat: instead of the "push to talk" mode, now the "enable / disable" voice chat mode is used
  
• sneak mode has become more useful
  
• improved appearance of trees at minimum quality settings

• bug with audio chat has been fixed! It has been redone and should now work for all players, even those who are located far from our game server
  
• fixed a bug with stamina consumption when the player is standing but holding down the run key
  
• fixed a bug that did not count escaping on a boat if the player was standing on the very edge of the boat
  
• changed the spawn points of syringes, fixed the places from which they could not be picked up
  
• other found bugs fixed

We are so excited to present you a new themed Halloween update!
In which the mood of this gloomy but cheerful holiday was carried over to our game world.
Let's tell you more about the new products:

- ominous pumpkins appeared on the map, which can be lit
- some enemies became pumpkin monsters by putting a pumpkin on their heads
- players changed into festive halloween costumes

- added the ability to revive killed friends!
- a new pick-up item has appeared - a syringe, with which you can revive your friends
- the reaction of enemies to a shot from a flare gun has been improved, for some of them the hit is now fatal, and for some it can only anger

- Added a new achievement for collecting 100 pumpkins during the Halloween celebration
- Added a new achievement for killing a pumpkin monster during Halloween celebrations
- now the progress of earning achievements is displayed in the incentive

- added a new item in game settings - visibility range, which affects the number of visible objects and, accordingly, on FPS
- fixed found minor bugs
- edited translation into Thai

In our next update, we have eliminated many problems and errors, as well as added something long-awaited:

- according to your numerous requests, we have added a built-in voice chat (by default, holding the " V " button to talk)

- added a new kind of enemy - female spruter
- a house was opened in the Northern Mines location, which was previously closed

- added the ability to override the keys used for movement (important for those using AZERTY keyboards)
- now you do not need to constantly hold the button in order to sneak. Now she switches modes - always sneak or always walk in full height
- edited character animations

- changed graphics settings for low quality, now the low quality level is more productive
- slight increase in performance at other levels of graphics quality
- we will continue to work on increasing the FPS in future updates ...

- added a new achievement: Detective - collect all entries from Blake's diary
- fixed a bug where the Hero of Danville achievement was not awarded

- fixed a black screen error when starting the game for some players
- fix a bug with a timer in the lobby
- fix a bug with incorrect display of the compass on some screen resolutions

We are glad to inform you that we have already released the third package of fixes and changes!
Since we did not inform you about the second one here, we present a general list of all the changes that have appeared:

- added compass to help you better navigate
- added character icons in the game, showing who is alive, who died, and who became offline
- icons of the main achievements and a counter of found notes appeared in the main menu
- added the ability to switch the game to windowed mode and change the resolution in the game menu
- to improve stability, game quality can now be applied only after restarting the game

- now each player can invite friends to the lobby, there is no longer a party leader
- when the number of ready players is more than half, the countdown starts before the start of the game
- if all players have pressed the "ready" button, the game automatically starts immediately

- fixed a bug with the "depth of field" graphic effect, changed its settings
- edited and improved ragdoll, now after killing players, their bodies behave more realistically
- several minor bugs fixed
