The Bishop brings the might of a great city and the firepower that comes from prosperous trade. He has the backing of Heaven to channel divine power to oppose the pagan gods.

Along with the new hero, the update brings plenty of fixes and improvements.

Features:

• New order hero: the Bishop.

• Added a slightly different icon for Ausrine’s Charm upgrade.

Fixes:

• Balanced stance now does not infinitely chase anymore.
  
• Defensive stance does not chase much at all anymore.
  
• Lifesteal now only works on units, not buildings. No more eating bricks.
  
• All creation sounds are suppressed for the first 10 seconds after loading a map.
  
• Ranger Stalk upgrade caused the Ranger to run in place until given another order, it has been fixed now. He can finally rest.
  
• Chain of Condemnation cannot be removed with Cure anymore.
  
• Attraction skill now has damage falloff from the center, matching the description.
  
• Curse and Plague modifiers of the Witch unit cannot be applied to buildings anymore.
  
• The upgrade of Lietuven’s Ward now has the correct duration for its damage chipping.
  
• The Repel ability of the Lunar Stardaughter can now be correctly manually cast when clicked out of range.
  
• Spigana now shows the range of her basic attack.
  
• Catapult now shows the range of its basic attack.
  
• Admirers at the Temple of the Enthralled Hearts do not spawn anymore when there is no more faith left to spend.

Balance:

• Heilsburg is significantly easier on Easy and Normal. Insane difficulty players continue to suffer as intended.
  
• Michael now has 25% lifesteal on his basic attack, similar to the Avenging Angel.
  
• Ausrine health increased from 275 to 300, to be slightly higher than that of the Bishop.
  
• Metal defense type has had its fire and cold damage modifiers changed, to not have the metal type be a big nerf to anyone who has armor.
  
• Herbalist’s upgrade Cure time reduced to match the normal heal, upped heal amount to compensate.
  
• Doubled XP to wealth conversion for Raider’s torch ability.
  
• All shrines have had their health boosted by +400 HP.
  
• Shrine upgrade health also increased by +400 HP.
  
• Blade Dash damage reduced by 10.
  
• Avenging Angel housing upkeep reduced down to 3, to reflect the unit’s capability.
  
• Solar Stardaughters’ attacks are now physical instead of magical.
  
• Lunar Stardaughters’ attacks are now considered projectile, and the range has been reduced from 14 to 12.

Content update #5 is now live!
This update brings a new Invasion type co-op challenge map called Invasion of Heilsberg.

Invade the lands of the Teutonic Order and capture castle Heilsberg. To mount a successful siege, you will have to claim the resources of the defenders.

The map comes with a new achievement, a new glyph and a little sneak peek of some of the upcoming Bishop lineup.

As usual, we’ve also done a bunch of fixes and changes:


Features:

• New challenge map: Invasion of Heilsberg, a siege co-op map.
  
• New glyph: Pillager, allows certain basic units to pillage buildings like raiders.
  
• The range of buildings is shown when selected when necessary, such as towers.
  
• Damage comparison should now always display.
  
• Units, not just heroes, are now able to gather pickups (experimental). Please let us know if this affects your performance.
  
• Worshipper spawn formula has been overhauled (experimental). We saw that players found that free housing was not impacting the arrival rate of worshippers as effectively as expected. We have made the army population affect it less, and adjusted other numbers to hopefully make eco boom strategies more viable.
  
• Blue Pastures footprint has been reduced by 2 tiles on each side, to make it easier to place.
  
• You can now also toggle the UI visibility in the menu and here select screen.

Fixes:

• Massively improved optimization for wall logic, hopefully improving the performance in maps like Siege of Lennewarden.
  
• Optimization of the auras in the game, hopefully leading to less FPS spikes.
  
• Work-in-progress text fixes for the Order faction and miscellaneous stuff, for the upcoming Bishop update. More to come.
  
• AI should no longer target AI opponents that have no entities on the map, sometimes causing them to sit in the base.
  
• Shrine tier upgrade health has been fixed.
  
• When switching from construction to casting, the construction targeter no longer lingers.
  
• Missing upgrades in the inspector have been fixed.
  
• Dead buildings that are still sinking into the ground can no longer be used by AI to build units. This likely explains the reports of the AI spawning units out of nowhere.
  
• Reverted the text blurriness fix from the previous update, it was not working as intended.
  
• The cursor image is now reset when returning to the menu.
  
• Gilded Horse upgrade should no longer show a shield visual, as that was reflecting old design.

Balance:

• Base shrine health increased from 1400 to 1600.
  
• Guarded Throw upgrade cost for the radiant version has been fixed.
  
• Saule now has the metal defense type, matching her visual.
  
• Saule base health increased from 500 to 550.
  
• Werewolves are now considered mythical.
  
• Medeina’s Blessing cost lowered from 250 to 200 faith.
  
• Pukis base damage lowered from 15 to 13.
  
• Marksman, skirmisher and rangers wood cost reduced by 10.

Hey everyone! It's time to announce the next Order faction hero coming to Godsworn: the Bishop! He will be available to play on October 14th.

We've made a detailed breakdown of his abilities, and his unique buildings and units (in a browser, click the image, right click and open in a new tab to view full, or if that doesn't work: fullsize steam image).

His default ability is a heal, and he starts off with two militants. While he is a mortal, he has the backing of Heaven to cast holy spells, such as Smite and Banishment. He fields large mortal armies and can gain access to devastating gunpowder units.

He has a special focus on city building, with more buildings than any other hero. We even had to remove the (little used) build button in the interface to make space for more buildings. For defending his city, he can build strongholds which have a garrison force inside. And if he manages to hold out till late game, he can put a lot of worshippers to work on the Cathedral, a wonder-like structure that will send map-wide conversion waves once completed.





Meanwhile, for those waiting for the next map content update: it's in unstable testing now, but we've been slowed down by being sick, so we need a couple more days to polish it up and playtest the rest of the changes.

Fixing a couple issues that sneaked in last update and a campaign issue that was reported several times.

Fixes:

• Recurve Bow upgrade now correctly increases damage.
  
• Bear Shield upgrade tooltip now shows the correct amount of armor and HP gained.

Campaign:

• A Union Divided: We noticed a lot of reports of players not knowing how to finish this mission. We now changed it so that the victory condition does not require standing on the meeting location, instead, destroying all the red players is now sufficient.

Balance:

• Fire damage vs Warm defense type set to 70% instead of 25%.
  
• Chain of Condemnation damage on hit increased to 30.
  
• Chain of Condemnation lifesteal set to 500% but applies only on the first hit.

Content update #4 is now live! Just in time for the end of the month.

We noticed the most popular type of map in skirmish has been 2v2, so this time we have a new 4-player map called Lubaans!

A large central lake divides players, only allowing approaches from the sides. Players can be divided along a short defensible or a long open path.

Also in this update we’ve added a much-requested feature: multi-queuing. When you have several of the same unit production buildings selected, units will be queued from both. More quality-of-life features are to come in future updates.

As usual, the content is accompanied by various fixes and improvements. Among those are some balance changes which we added after talking to our Discord community.


Features:

• New map: Lubaans, a 4 player map with a central lake.
  
• Multi-queueing in military buildings, it divides units to the same type of building.
  
• Enemy AI now falls back when the attack party only has healers.
  
• Spigana basic attack moved to hotkey spot Q, for manual bombardment funtimes.
  
• We decided to remove godpower blocking zones for now. We introduced them last update, but have not seen them improve the game. For now they were too confusing and laden with issues. We will look into making the shrine itself survive more godpower punishment next patch or update.
  
• Raider Throwing Nets do not target other already-netted units.

Fixes:

• Towers now retarget when enemies walk outside of their targeting range. This previously caused the towers to sometimes stop shooting.
  
• Attempt to fix text blurriness issues. This appears to be an unexpected challenge, and we will monitor the result of these changes. Please let us know if this becomes better or worse for you with this update.
  
• Glyphs clear when changing to a hero who is not compatible with them.
  
• Hunter worshippers now shoot at deer instead of world 0 0 0 location. Aim for the deer, buddies, you can do it.
  
• Saule’s Solar Ray animation should play without delay now. A custom animation will be added later.
  
• All army UI counter has been improved, but still needs some issues ironed out.
  
• Attempting to fix Pukis zero health invincibility bug. We were not able to repro this, so we are aiming in the dark. Please report if you keep seeing this issue or have an idea on how to reproduce it.
  
• Fixed typo in Amber Ward upgrade description.
  
• Fixed description of Giltine’s Kiss, it no longer states that it deals foul damage.
  
• Fix for networking where units kept sending unnecessary commands many times over; this should improve networking performance.
  
• Catapults now display their damage amount in the tooltip.
  
• Golden Apple Tree now plays the correct sound when spawned.
  
• Cleansing Fire no longer locks onto nearby buildings.

Balance:

• Zealot Fire and Brimstone damage reduced from 30 to 20.

We noticed some damage targeting issues after the Ruhnu update due to the new shrine godpower denial zone. At the same time we looked at the cursor targeting for bigger skill casts.

Fixes:

• The shrine zone that blocks godpowers does not block damage anymore.
  
• AoE spells that target the ground no longer have their targeter get blocked by units/buildings.
  
• AoE spells that target the ground no longer snap to units and buildings when they shouldn’t.
  
• Ausrine is included in Ragana’s Trinket glyph.

Balance:

• Ausrine Attraction upgraded damage has been lowered to 50.

Please let us know if you encounter any more targeting issues in regards to the blocking zones.

Content update #3 is here! We had originally planned to release it in July, but both of us got sick, causing a bit of a delay. It's here now, and we hope you have fun with it!

In this update there is a new type of co-op challenge map called Guardians of Ruhnu!

Defend the small island of Ruhnu from attacks landing in waves using only your hero. There are rumors of bear sightings. Recommended to play in a group.

This map is what you could call an RPG mode: there is no basebuilding and you do not control worshippers. You start with only your hero and have a slightly modified ability roster to fit this gameplay style. Try to survive 30 waves of enemies while defending the people and buildings of Ruhnu. This mode is best enjoyed together with friends, but play nice and share the resource pickups that spawn on the map. There’s also 2 glyphs to find that should help you complete the map.

This map also comes with 2 achievements.

As always, there’s a whole bunch of tweaks and fixes based on community feedback.

Features:

• New achievement for completing Guardians of Ruhnu on insane difficulty.
  
• New achievement for recruiting the bear on Ruhnu island.
  
• New glyph: Affixed, reduces respawn time of heroes by 30 seconds.
  
• New glyph: Summon Bear, allows summoning of a bear for a food cost.
  
• There can now be zones that deny enemy godpowers. The shrine has a godpower denial zone to prevent players from just nuking the enemy shrine off the map.
  
• The Raider torch throw now has a custom throw animation.
  
• A new upgrade for Saule can be made in the Gathering Hut, granting +1 yield on Gathering Huts and Farmsteads.
  
• Tweaked some player colors slightly to be more distinct from each other.
  
• There is now a message when a player is sent resources from another player.

Fixes:

• Snapping logic has been rewritten, fixing abilities ending up under bridges, and other height related issues such as floating cows.
  
• Flooding Light no longer multiplies its effect per unit in the target area. To compensate, the heal has been upped to 400 health.
  
• Demolishing an unbuilt building no longer leaves a build denial area.
  
• Hard disabled start button for campaign once launched to avoid double spawning heroes.
  
• Sharpened Weapons description fixed.
  
• White Zaltys no longer multiplies its effect per unit in the target area, numbers have been adjusted to match.
  
• Converted units should now be removed from active selections.

After deploying the Curonian Spit content update we took a little break. Now back at it, we noticed some issues had popped up, so we're deploying a hotfix. We try to test everything related to the changes and whether all content launches, but sometimes new issues can slip through the cracks. Please let us know if any of these cause any unexpected issues.



Fixes:

• Kurzeme is playable again, this issue sneaked in last update. Please let us know if any maps do not launch in the future.
  
• Enemy buildings floating mid-air in Samogitia have been fixed. Much less spooky scary now.
  
• Strife ability should now be true 60%. It used to trigger almost 99% as it did the check as many times as amount of players in multiplayer.
  
• Auras that give faith for xp or wealth for xp no longer multiply per player in multiplayer. This made for some very unpredictable results before.
  
• Enemies can no longer see the PFX of a building that hasn't started construction yet.
  
• Enemies can no longer select a building that hasn't started construction yet.
  
• Fixed Mason Guild upgrade giving every single building housing capacity. No more worshippers living inside the walls.
  
• Fixed Mason Guild calculating the housing increase incorrectly.
  
• Stopping or cancelling abilities now also resets behavior duration cooldown, making swapping enemies and cancelling abilities have less wait time.
  
• Marauder attack axe throw locked him into standing for too long, has been shortened by 1 second.
  
• Leshy base attack and slam attack standing still have been reduced by 1 and 0.5 seconds respectively.
  
• AoEs would sometimes hit friendlies, the targeting code has been rewritten to address it. If there are unexpected issues resulting from this, please let us know.

As usual, we are also working on additional features and content.
