i tried to like this game, but it's boring. For the story, you have to go back to the house several times, and you also need to return there before the night. And when you know that going from some location to others take 1.5 hour of in-game time, it's a lot of boring travel.

I tried so hard to give this a fair shake, but the controls ruin the whole experience. The combat is painfully clunky (I keep getting hints to "remember to dodge!" and then the dodge DOESN'T DO ANYTHING WHEN TWO ENEMIES ATTACK AT ONCE), and both Elise's and the camera's movements lack any fluidity. Some of the English translations leave a lot to be desired as well - sometimes I couldn't actually understand the hints Elise's dialogue was trying to give me. The story concept seemed interesting (the tapes were an interesting mechanic to give backstory as I ran around), and a lot of the voice actors put in a real effort, but it's all ruined by every other aspect of the game.
