Bad devs.

The devs here ran Puzzle Pirates into the ground, and refuse to support that game. Why pay them to do the same with this one?

so what happened after release?

I played this when it wasn't released yet in testing and it was great, but I'm reading some negative reviews talking about how they swapped how the game plays last moment on release, for the worse? making it a "hack n slash"?! anyone have more info on this?...

It looks like the demo is only online. Is there offline single player planned for the release? The store page lists single player so was confused on that.

DO NOT get fooled

This games does not make it clear anywhere prior to purchasing that servers are limited to US region. This means that any other region, such as Europe, will consistently suffer from 200 to 600 ping depending on your connection. There's a lot of apologists in the community that are, obviously, based in US and don't see this as a problem while they play with a normal ping. Is Black Mammoth somehow related to Three Rings?

Some years ago, Three Rings made some nifty games, most notably Puzzle Pirates and Spiral Knights. At some point, they got bought by Sega, then later shut down. Grey Havens somehow ended up publishing Puzzle Pirates and Spiral Knights, and is now adding Arcane Waters. When two of a publisher's three games are pirate-themed MMOs with pixel graphics, that doesn't seem like a coincidence. So what I want to know is, are the companies related, and if so, how?...
