Already for the soundtrack it´s worth the money ! Very good game for relaxing and thinking .

Let's start with saying that I absolutely love the genre and even more the music, so when I saw this simple traffic-avoiding game, I thought this would be the best bargain I could find. But the review NEEDS to be negative since the Overwhelmingly Positive rating is just wrong.

The music is truly enjoyable and I even already knew some of the tracks, so a pleasant surprise and exactly what I was looking for.

Aestethically it is very pleasing. The color palette is beautiful and portraits the genre well. The VHS filter is a good idea to further enhance the retro style but I had to turn it off since my eyes couldn't stand it after a while. After turning it off, the cars and models in general felt a bit too simple, but still ok for the genre.

This sums up the pros of the game.

The cons, oh boy, are too much. This whole game is a cash grab for enthusiasts of the retrowave genre as I am.
The handling of the cars is too easy and it almost auto drives forward, you just need to select the line to drive on.
The mechanical upgrade system is useless – i fully upgraded the F40 (which by the way costs less than a AE86 in this game) to max everything and added NOS and turbo. Well, top speed stays the same as base engine (maxed out of course), turbo just adds the VTEC shift sound, and NOS makes you SLOWER when you activate it as it seems to break something in the car’s “””””physics”””””. The other upgrades are just graphical and boring.
There are at least lots of cars to unlock which I assume all handle the same and differ only in top speed – as the truck in the stupid Bomb mode handles exactly like the F40. So useless again.
Game modes are all identical – drive forward, do not crash; the further you go and the more recklessly you drive, the more money you earn. Ah, near misses give you some additional points, but combos do not multiply the score. Multiplayer isn’t working as there are no servers, and again I wonder what the mode was about.
Digging into the Discussions I also found out that this is some sort of asset flip or rip off of an existing game whose name you can find in there. Also, if you look up the developer’s page, you can notice how ALL the games made in the past few years are identical. Also the upcoming "second chapter" is EXACTLY identical to this one as can be easily checked by watching a gameplay on YT.

To sum it up: it should be ok to buy it if you want something for under 2 euros to do while listening to synthwave/retrowave/vaporwave music, but do not expect to be buying a game.

La faccio molto breve, visto che ci sono anche delle recensioni positive in italiano: questo non è un gioco per pc, ma a malapena un gioco per telefono; è uno screensaver interattivo che potete usare mentre ascoltate la synthwave. Non c’è nulla da fare nel gioco, tutti gli upgrade sono inutili e tutte le macchine uguali, anche le modalità di gioco sono tutte uguali. La musica però è molto bella e questo “gioco” può servire quando volete scaricarvi a fine giornata con qualcosa di assolutamente non impegnativo. Ah, è probabile che sia pure un clone di qualcosa già esistente.
