Very well done deck builder that has gotten a lot of support and updates from the devs. Well polished and has nice extras like plenty of achievements and point shop items. It is also has nice graphics, which you can't say about Slay the Spire or the upcoming Slay the Spire 2. I mean, that stupid looking Whale! C'mon STS. You could try to improve your graphics to match games like this, or Monastery or Vault of the Void.

This is a ridiculously good game!
Far more than a card battler, there is a deep and intricate web of stories and quests to follow and discover. The loop mechanic keeps you coming back for more no matter how many times you die. I simply can't recommend this game highly enough.

It's like Slay the Spire, if Slay the Spire had an interesting story and also hated the player.

It's interesting and it's probably a fun game for someone, but it's not for me.

There's kind of a neat meta-story behind the repeated runs, they did a nice job on the art and put an impressive amount of work into the encounters.

The RNG component is pretty strong, and unfortunately I think your power is waayyy more about the items you find than about your deckbuilding - if you have good items and a mediocre deck you're probably okay, but if you get mediocre items it's hard to imagine how your deck could save you.

Fun game, would recommend playing with a mouse.
I tried playing on steamdeck and the touchpad was a tad annoying.

Great if you like StS and Wildfrost. It's RPG themed with lots of backstory and character development. The map path is again like StS but has a lot of secrets and unlocks. The difficult is highly variable and so are the strategies. It has a lot of content and replayability. It's also being actively developed so there should be more future content and the devs actually address bugs.

Campaign is pretty cool, reminded me of the movie Memento with a creative narrative & gameplay loop. Figured out the Challenges mode pretty late in my playthrough.

Obviously derivative of slay the spire, this game has far more story and flavor, as well as expanded exploration aspects, making it a great game in it's own right. Improved communication about what you get by leveling up a class would be a good addition though.

EDIT: First review was on the deck, so was a little short.

Positives:
Very innovative way to embrace the groundhog nature of a rogue-lite.
Your characters remember you play through and the maps/events on the map don't change. What does change is you as a player learning about them and how you character interacts with each event can be different every run. Your character can sometimes have more options after playing it more than once or playing a linked element. It makes your paths not as random but still very fun to think "next run I'm going to go here then here to see if these will interact." Also all 3 characters have different approaches with the events.

Gear is fun new way to add "trophies". The set effects are very powerful and some great builds come from here.

Negative: Some character talk can be repeated a bit and take you out of the iseakai element of the game.

Over all great deep card builder with some challenging battles, fun mechanics, random game play but can be narrowed in with path selection (aiming for a certain set certain elites are the way to go). Story can be flat a bit, but all the different prospective really flush it out and it take a while to start seeing the threads to weave together.
