Even though the game has an interesting style and world, I’m turned off by the puzzles and achievements. The puzzles are mostly the type that demand trial and error, it’s unclear what you need to do and I hope you enjoy pixel hunting because it’s often hard to tell what you can interact with. The achievements are mostly doing something so specific/random that you most likely won’t figure most of them out on your own. The game also likes you to repeat some sections if you die as the checkpoints are not always generous. All of this completely demotivated me and made me grab a walkthrough right from the beginning.

It’s clear that Creepy Tales has its fans but it does not work for me. I really hope that 2 and 3 are better, I already bought them a while ago. I do not recommend this unless you’re exactly the type to enjoy those kind of puzzles. It took me 1.5 hours to complete the game and get all the achievements. Actual time might be between 30 minutes and one hour without all the deaths and trial and error.

It was...ok. There is no real explanations on what to do so ended up spamming buttons sometimes to see what I should be grabbing. It is a simplistic looking horror game with puzzles.

I bought this game a while back on steam sale for a few bucks and it sat in my backlog for a while.

After finally going through some games I started this and man this game turned out to be such a gem.
Don't skip on this game, its such a great mix of cozy diet horror and genuinely enjoyable puzzle solving that its great to look at, great to experience, and actually satisfying to solve.

Absolutely obsessed, ill be buying all the sequels and probably anything they come out with.
