Can we just get an N64 South Park remake.

OK, so first things first, this is one of those games that is the perfect example of Steam needing to add a neutral rating option. There are things that are good about this game, there are things that are bad about the game, but overall, I'm going to give this a Yes to recommend for a couple of reasons:

Number 1, South Park is BRILLIANT and they deserve as much recognition as possible, even though they aren't perfect. Number 2, it's not like the game is NOT fun. It may not be a ground breaking experience, but it's competent at what it does, and it's at least worth a play thru if you are a South Park super fan like I am, and you've already finished the UNBELIEVABLY great Stick of Truth and the VERY good Fractured But Whole games (despite not having a lot of patience for turn based combat anymore, I still loved both games). Number 3, you may not laugh hysterically like the first and second game, but there is a lot to be highly amused by if you don't exactly laugh out loud.

Now for the negatives: Yes, I can fully understand the other reviews that call this lazy, phoning it in, or just going thru the motions. There is A LOT of (not sure how to define it) "oompf" (I guess) that the previous 2 game had that this one doesn't, be it the jokes/writing, the generic combat, level design, etc.... it's not like it's BAD, but it's just not up to the quality we are used to from the South Park guys, but that is not the biggest problem that this game suffers from...

The BIGGEST issue this game has, is that it was designed to be mainly enjoyed as a co-op multiplayer experience, and despite releasing in 2024, it does NOT have full cross platform multiplayer? What are we doing here? It is now 2025 and there are STILL games that are released that are NOT cross platform, and I just don't understand it. Games like Diablo, Destiny, World War Z, etc have already figured this out YEARS ago, and I don't understand why it's not a standard for EVERY new game. A bit of a tangent, but my PS5 friend and I bought this on release day to play together and were incredibly disappointed to find out we couldn't and had to play a different OLDER game, just so we could play something online together.

I don't know if that can be fixed in a patch or something, but it would do WONDERS for justifying the price, even though its full price is pretty low compared to other popular titles built on other popular franchises out there...

So yeah, if you're a big South Park fan, it's worth at least one play thru, and there IS a chance you might even like it enough to play it more than once, especially if you are lucky enough to have friends that have THE SAME PLATFORM ONLY you can play online with. If you're looking for a great 3rd person co-op adventure game and don't care about South Park or humor in your games, you're better off skipping this and playing Space Marine 2 or Outriders (and BOTH have cross platform multiplayer, BTW).

But I still enjoyed it myself, and I can't wait for the next new episode of the TV show!

I do like this game but, I do wish there was more then 5 chapters. The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole were so much fun. The New Kid you can make had so many ways to play. And, you can add the South Park kids in their as well in your team. The randomness that is South Park is what i love about this series. If they do make another game, I only hope it has more than this game has. I felt this game was rushed and not a whole lot was in here. Yes, some funny bits in the game. But, barely anything at all. Again, I love this game. More than others, but i hated how little the play time is.

it was a ok game but as you can see its really short

Not much gameplay time but it is really fun and still a lot of southpark humour.

ONLY WORTH IT IF ITS ON SALE. I thought it was good and I bought it on sale. It gets too much hate for not being like the first two games which is understandable. Gameplay generally feels good and the story is okay.
