a 23 years old game but it is nice to replay it again. I only copied a DLL file into the games directory to get it running. Many of the modern GTA controls missing, mouse controls are atrocious, Claude doesnt shoot where you aim lol. and the game plays a bit faster. So enemies easily blast you, vehicles gets destroyed with few fender benders. The story is alright, though kinda cheesy here and there. Also, idk if it was the story or rage mission, rival gang members always instanly lock on to you even if you are passing by a vehicle.

I’ve played GTA 3 on PS2, PC, and iPhone, and I’m convinced this game is a portal to a parallel universe where everything is slightly broken, but it still somehow works. I’ve witnessed cars defy physics, pedestrians get stuck in eternal loops of panic, and yet I still can't stop playing.

On PS2, I was a rebellious teenager living my best virtual crime life. On PC, I’ve modded it to look 10% better, but the crashes are still 100% inevitable. On iPhone, it’s a game of ‘Can I still control this chaos with touch controls?’ Spoiler: barely.

But despite the crashes, the bugs, and the fact that every NPC has a death wish, this game will always have a special place in my heart. 10/10 would drive off the edge of the bridge and swim with the fishes again.

P.S. I still haven’t figured out why one NPC casually says, 'My mother is my sister.' Is that an existential crisis or just another Tuesday in Liberty City?
