great so far

To get in on the review early, to encourage people to give this game a chance, I'm going to give my first couple of minutes experience instead of "i finished the game". The controls are smooth, the art style and animations are nice, the music is great. If it's not an entirely long game it will definitely be enjoyable to experience what is there.

The game is kind of cute, but it's a dull experience.

There was no music while I was playing, which I thought might be a glitch, so I closed the game and restarted. Then there was music for a couple minutes, but then the music disappeared again. I don't know what's going on with that.

The game completely froze once for no apparent reason, and I had to restart.

Also, Ailuri was a Kickstarter game that was released well over two years late. The game was initially advertised as having a release date of September 2022, but the game wasn't released until February 6, 2025. In a Kickstarter update on March 28, 2023, the campaign creator even wrote in bold type: "Yes, the game release is delayed until late 2023." This release date was obviously missed too. And the campaign creator provided only two Kickstarter updates in all of 2024. Not okay, especially when the end result is so mediocre.
