Devlog #39: Playtests round

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!

We’re hard at work on I Am Jesus Christ, and we’re excited to invite you to the next round of Steam Playtests. This time, you’ll get to experience a version of the game built entirely by our new team. To join the queue and be ready to download the demo as soon as it’s available, simply click the button "Request Access" on the game’s main Steam page.

In addition to playing, we would greatly appreciate your feedback through a survey included with the demo. Your answers will help us refine the experience and deliver a game that meets your expectations.

Devlog #38: Open World

Hello everyone!

It’s been a while since our last update, but we’re back in full force, more committed than ever to advancing the development of I Am Jesus Christ!

The break was due to a restructuring of our team earlier this year, which we believe has ultimately benefited the project. We've learned lessons from the years of work by the previous team and, most importantly, from your feedback on the Prologue. Having that in mind, we’re directing our focus towards the most anticipated areas of improvement for I Am Jesus Christ. First up, we’re excited to introduce the game’s biggest design change:

Open World Exploration

Until now, the Prologue’s events unfolded within limited spaces, constrained by both natural elements and invisible boundaries. To deepen the immersion and provide a sense of the environment in Jesus’ time, we’ve decided to open up the world. You will now be able to explore the regions of Galilee, Samaria, and Judea—covering nearly the entire journey of Christ’s ministry.

Nazareth and Surroundings

Experience the town where Jesus lived with His family, where He learned His craft, connected with the people, and, after certain events, narrowly escaped being executed.

The Sea of Galilee

Visit numerous historical locations along the shore and witness the miracles of Christ from a first-person perspective, reliving these incredible events up close.

The Judean Desert

Encounter the rugged wilderness of Samaria and feel the vastness of the open landscape. Endure the 40-day fast and discover the banks of the Jordan River, where you’ll experience Christ’s baptism by John the Baptist.

The City of Jerusalem

Immerse yourself in the bustling life of the largest historical city in the region. Explore its narrow streets in the heart of the city and see the most iconic locations around its ancient walls.

Other Well-Known Biblical Sites

Take a journey to the other famous locations recreated from historical maps, engravings, and records, such as Mount Tabor, Cana, Nain, Sychar, and Bethany.

my Jesus Christ Play test access?

OK, having waited till now, and with you and responded (suggest/feedback) often since... HOW do I get on board this round? I attempted to play/install just now..but it says... NOT RELEASED. Let me IN!! Am I too late at 8:20pm from the start at 4:00pm? Please get me in NOW, as I WILL provide MORE insight and response to help make this title a GREAT success....

I wish the focus of the game would be to let the player be a witness to the events described in the Bible, in educational form, but to let the gamer, the sinner for who Jesus Christ died, take on the role of Jesus Christ, just does not sit right with me and is just blasphemy. I can not see it any other way. It's a mockery. From some of the videos and screenshots I have seen the game makes Jesus look more like a wizard who performs magic, than that it portrays Him Biblically accurate as the one and only Sav...
