We’ve got a big update for ya today - the Quality of Life Update! It’s packed full of stuff that’ll make Filthy Animals better to play and easier to enjoy. We’ve added some new stuff and fixed some other stuff so check out what we’ve got for ya below!

To celebrate this update you’ll also be able to get 25% off Filthy Animals until the 29th of Jun. So if you’ve been waiting to grab our chaos-filled heist multiplayer game now’s the perfect time.

Enough from us - get ready fuh patch notes!

• Players can now quit during a Heist and resume from the level that they left off! No more needing to clear your schedule for those longer heists.
  
  
• Play time is now recorded for each Heist and displayed on the summary screen, while your Best Time is permanently displayed on the Heist in the Level Select screen in the Main Menu.
• Now you can always be reminded of your impressive - or pathetic - heists.
  
• In multiplayer, it is no longer immediately game over when all players die: now you can all be Flushies at the same time! Get revived at a toilet by the helpful and handsome TonyBot.
  
• It is now possible to end a level as a flushie, so that you don't need to backtrack to revive yourself first. This will also prevent players from getting stuck in the Nuclear crate, ahem.
  
• When you select 'Retry' from the pause menu on the final level of a Heist, carry-through objects (such as the Nuclear Pigeon, UFO, etc) will be kept. Figured we'd go easy on ya's.

• Fixed a bug which caused an insufficient amount of Filthy letters from spawning on the Prison Heist, preventing players from completing the objective and getting achievements.
  
• Fixed an issue where keycards could get stuck underneath the Military trailer as it rolled down the hill, forcing a restart.
  
• Fixed an issue where sombreros would spawn underwater in the first Military level, making it unreachable.
  
• Changed the face scanner to a button in the first military level to avoid game breaking scenarios when no NPCs are available.
  
• Fixed an issue where the AK would often clip through terrain.
  
• Fixed an issue where the ice cube on the target in the first Military level would remain in place when the target falls.
  
• Fixed a missing collider issue with a VAT in the first Nuclear level.
  
• Fixed an issue where the Revive progress circle would not render in front of some objects
  
• Fixed an issue with the rotation of the revive progress circle
  
• Fixed a bug where the door to the first toilet in the second Space mission would be locked
  
• Fixed a bug where the gravity indicators in the second Space mission wouldn't change
  
• Fixed the ramps in the first Nuclear level so that players can smoothly run up them

Something new has arrived in the world of Filthy Animals. A weapon of ancient origin, so powerful it can knock a hat off someone's head from clear across a room.

Introducing...the NERD GUN

That's right, the NERD Gun is now avaialble in Filthy Animals! You can find it randomly throughout the game dropping from purple chests.

It's not as powerful as a real gun full of bullets but it's awesome and that matters more than anything. Shoot enemies, shoot scenery, shoot each other, it's NERD-tastic.

We've done it!

But that's not all - we've been hard at work getting the game ready for release on console and that work means benefits for PC players. Today we've also launched our latest patch that not only improves a ton of stuff but also adds a brand new weapon.

Here's what's new:

• Introducing the NERD gun! This brand new weapon has a chance to appear when smashing open purple chests. While not as powerful as a real gun, it looks and sounds cool - and what's more important than that?

• The 'thought bubble' system we use for our mutant animals was previously a little heavy on the CPU. Now, we've managed to make it be handled entirely by the GPU, so players should see an increase in performance.
  
• Speaming of performance - we received a few reports of small framerate drops whenever Tony speaks. Tony's words are very important, so we've optimised his text and made it all more efficient.
  
• Jumping! We've made sure that jumping feels better and snappier than before. So if you've been struggling to make a long jump or to reach dizzying heights, try again - it should all feel a lot better now.

• We fixed an issue where players would walk on the spot after jumping into the garbage truck. So long, running man.
  
• Tony sometimes had a visual issue on his face when he spoke. As Tony is undoubtably too handsome to be covered up, we had to fix this immediately. Now you can see Tony in all his glory at all times - you can relax now, Tony fans.
  
• Some areas have been tightened up so that critical items can no longer get stuck on the environment.

Filthy Animals is out but that doesn't mean the work's over. We've been quashing bugs, fixing stuff, adding new things, and making Filthy Animals better than ever before.

Now, with our latest patch, we've got a ton of new updates ready to share with you. We're sure you're going to love all the work we've put into our game post-launch: here's everything that's new!

Unlocking new heists just got easier - One of the key pieces of feedback we received was that some players were getting a little frustrated when trying to unlock new levels. To make this better and easier for everyone, we've reduced the number of objectives you need to complete in order to unlock the next heist from 4 to 3.

Enhanced Revive Visuals - We've revamped the visuals when a player starts getting revived to make it more clear to everyone what's going on. Now you'll know exactly what's happening with your unlucky teammate who just got knocked down!

Sliding Objects Are Better, More Slidey - To navigate some puzzles, objects like bookshelves or crates may need to be dragged across the floor. We've greatly improved the handling of these objects so getting through heists and successfully completing puzzles should be simpler, better, and more slidey.

Greater Network Stability - One of our primary focuses since the launch of Filthy Animals has been to make sure players can play together online with more stability and better performance. We've introduced a ton of fixes aimed at making playing online better and we're confident that players should have a much better experience with the current version of the game.

Please do note that Filthy Animals uses peer to peer connections in order to connect players, so if you do encounter network issues when playing Filthy Animals as a first step check our FAQ for some troubleshooting steps. If you still experience issues after troubleshoting - let us know!

Better FPS - As we work towards getting Filthy Animals on console we're undertaking a huge amount of optimisation changes. While these are primarily focused on console players, this optimisation work means PC players should also see a bump in performance.

Character Deformation - Some players might have experienced their character becoming deformed when running past or through objects. This should now be resolved.

Ledge Issues in Bank 2 - If you happen fall off the ledge in the second Bank level, after respawning some characters became unresponsive. This has been fixed so you can respawn with confidence!

Disappearing Flushies - A very rare issue meant that when a player's flushie could disappear from the game meaning they couldn't be revived. This has also been fixed, time to live...AGAIN!

Please note that when attempting to invite friends or when accepting an invite, all versions of the game will need to be updated to the current version in order to successfully join. This applies not only to players on Steam, but those crossplaying with players on Epic too.
