Our friends at Goblinz are releasing today (19th june 2024) a new tactics, turn-based game, similar to Urtuk (if you like).
They've gone through a successful Kickstarter campaign, released several demos, ran some betas, and tweaked the game the best they could. If you liked Urtuk, you may also like Sandwalkers:

Game Crash - Solution

Hello, Players have reported some occasional crashes and failing to start the game. First of most importance: Urtuk won't run without a normal audio device (PC speakers won't work). For Windows: if anyone of you experience game crash on startup of the game, and use Windows 10, this might help (temporarily until we find solution): browse Urtuk's local folder, find the file "urtuk.exe" and right click on that file -> "Properties" -> "Compatibility" -> and check the box "Run this program in compatibility m...

Epic Difficulty Scaling & Mutator Icon Bug

So after finishing 1st playthrough and beating Ruins Boss (Nec) *at Lvl 15-17 Day 416* decided to jump into an Epic playthrough 1st fight seemed fine 3 (me) v 4 (enemy) - finished it without too much difficulty no injuries 2nd fight was helping a troubled mercenary 4 (allies) + 3 (me) v 7 (enemy), again finished without anyone going down, but definitely a lot of tank rotating was necessary Now every 3rd fight (camps, not villages or fortresses) I try is literally 4 (me *picked up a free assassin*) v 7...

Difficulty question

I LOVE hard games, and I love turn based strategy. I'm just concerned the "desolation" difficulty is not going to be a fun experience, because of what I've seen in the comments regarding lazy difficulty ramping. An an example, I beat XCOM on classic ironman, and absolutely loved the experience. The difficulty in that is done well enough that it's difficult, but you always feel like you "could have" won. I've also 100% Dark Souls 1 and 2, which are hard, but are pretty much the definition of "fair" difficu...
